Honestly have loved this particular video version of this song, since first hearing it, over a year ago I think, but anyhow, it inspired me in several ways, one of which to go see at Let’s Rock in Shrewsbury…..not next door for us, but myself and youngest son can’t wait to see 🥰

Dave Ball laughing at 2:36, just shows these talented musicians are really good friends, you can see the love and warmth between them. C'mon Dave & Marc, keep Soft Cell alive, your majestic songs are perfect. It shows a fantastically well written back catalog, that when, even re-recorded in a new version, they still sound masterful. What a band.
Maybe they fell out at some point , I lost track of them but the love never faded really by the looks and sound of this They are sublime together.
@@davidramonemorrison2652 they're absolutely brilliant, been a fan since a kid. Can't wait for the new album. Marc Almond, what a voice! He could teach this new rabble (with a couple of exceptions) of so called singers, dependent on auto tune and effects a thing or two, he's really got the goods.
@@mistermatix8241 hearing how Marc Almond wavers around a note without actually hitting it, I almost begin to think that autotune has its place.

Unbelievable! Nearly Pissed myself when I heard Marc Almond was 62. What a Voice he still has. How is it possible to still look and sound as good/if not better. as he does nearly 40 years later. Fantastic
Yeah- I get the face- probably had work done, and fair play to him, but there's no disguising a knackered voice- his voice is still amazing!
One of the best songs they ever did, love the david gray cover, but this is sublime & as good today as it's ever been... They deserve their place at the table of the greats... Welcome back... Later! xx

Wow voice has hardly changed , unlike many 80’s bands , you wouldn’t be left feeling short changed with that performance

Saw them in Tiffany’s in Glasgow in 1983 was one of the loudest gigs I have ever attended and I’m a rock chick loved them.
I tell you what, Marc Almond's voice has certainly stood the test of time.

Take your hands of me always puts a chile down my spine but not sure why. Marc Almond has a beautifully haunting voice as we all know.
I love this more than I have the words to say. I ache and burst with an uncontainable adoration for this song and performance. I am at the same time devastated into desolation, to learn that their last ever performance is days away and sold out.
Last performances and irrecoverable partings are always sad... at least today compared to the 1980s.,there are many more ways to access quality recordings of performances that can alleviate the "endings" time brings, and instead relive the moment!

To think that many of the kids in the audience weren't even alive when this song came out in 1980 ish. Testament to it's greatness.
A stray cat came to a neighbours house and we looked after it but months later it became ill and i took it to the vet for where it was put to sleep. The words "I never knew you, you never knew me , say hello goodbye" makes me remember him.

Sometimes when your around in the eighties you miss absolute perfection because there was a lot of stunning stuff but this was the gold.
