- In a dramatic twist, the Post Office scandal inquiry has announced an "urgent" review of new documents from former chief executive Paula Vennells. Her legal team recently unearthed 50 documents that hadn't been shared before, just ahead of her upcoming appearance.
Lead counsel Jason Beer KC confirmed the document arrived at 11:17 PM and more documents from Ms. Vennells are expected which will be reviewed urgently."
Beer previously stressed the importance of prompt document submissions and warned witnesses he "will not hesitate" to recall them if necessary.
The development came as Alisdair Cameron, the Post Office's ex-chief financial officer, faced grilling on his knowledge of the scandal. He started his testimony with an apology to the affected sub-postmasters.

The Big problem is the inquire going over what we already know we know that all the PO managers are guilty and new what was going on and they are lying after giving oath and one of them has run of to NZ and allso the government is guilty to but will get away with it they all will and the sub PO workers will not get there justice because the government does not wont to pay out disgusting

Jail is the only remorse
Once again, she attempts to disorientate the interrogation by dropping more noise on the Enquiry just before her hearing. Isn't it time for the Chair to double down on his warning last time, and send her down for perjury of her oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
When you talk about remorse, it's too little. Contrition, repentance, penitence, because the evil she's been responsible is so far removed from her priesthood as to leave me wondering how she can possibly explain the contrast in standards. Put her in the general population of the toughest prison you can find so even the worst of humanity despises her.
i don't think Paula will turn up to the inquiry but a letter from her Doctor will, stating she is unwell. I hope not as I will be watching her squirm and try to get out of crap she created.

My gynaecologist refused to allow me to have blood after a haemorrhage in 1979. The A&E doctor was furious. I was immobilised for a week to allow my body to recover until my blood levels had recovered sufficiently to be released. He gave no explanation for his stance but he had been lecture touring in the US. I’ve always wondered if he had suspicions
I hope she explains why the Post Office at that period restricted their recruitment of senior officers to people with acute memory loss.

Absolutely, I wonder what her church colleagues are thinking. Wouldn't it be great if you could mind read Justin " I'm so perfect " Welby. Another one would I would like to mind read is Sad Khan, with his 'link's' to the Islamists groups in London. He is so engaged with the Gaza conflict, my guess is that he is not really impartial. Let's leave it that.
She should be jailed
The woman should be sent to prison along with all the other people who were involved in destroying the lives of the Postmasters. The government however, has the legal system set up so people in her position are all too often allowed to get off scot free.
No one is above the law though. Surely heads will have to roll.

Payment to subpostmasters should come from the post office and the bosses bonuses for the last 20 years. Not just Paula Vennells, the ones before and after her. The bonus portion of their pay should be taken from them. The government should fine them. It would more than cover proper compensation along with the offer from fujitsu.
Surely there has to be jail time for these corrupt individuals.
I watched the media report on this woman and it just goes to show how foolish some of our systems are.
How can people rise to the heights of top management when they THEMSELVES admit they don’t have the brains to spot when something looks wrong?

Does anyone believe that the PO or PV would release [or not shred] documents incriminating themselves -- especially as they could not even fairly inform for their own subpostmasters.
