@@masaschumit1502 Wow!! I did not expect anything so complete and well explained!! Thank you very much my friend... your creativity is amazing! Clear skies!
Many thanks for the explanations! Can you tell where to get the rail you used, which is mounted below the green vixen dovetail and which is holding your ASIair? I was looking for such a rail for mounting a guidescope and the ASIair.
Thanks for sharing, nice setup. Have you ever used your GTi in AZ mode for visual purpose without counterweights? Wondering what your experience regarding max. load is. I wanna get the GTi for travelling and so far the 102 mm MAK (1.9 Kg) is my favorite. But if a C5 (2,7 Kg) worked well it might be the better choice.
I have never used it in AZ mode because it is for shooting planets and the moon. It may be overweight in terms of weight, but the moon and planets do not move with a no-touch guide.
3.5kg is the total weight including all equipment right? Do you have to do the polar alignment? I also have Skywatcher Az Gti, I want to try Eq mode but my scope weighs 3.8kg.
3.5kg is the weight of the counterweight. The total weight of the MAK127, viewfinder, two cameras and focus motor is 5.5kg. Polar alignment is not required for shooting the moon and planets.
Sorry I wasn’t very specific. I’m intending to mount my ASIAIR. PLUS to the bracket it the video or something similar. So I’m not looking for an L-bracket, just a bracket that mount perpendicular to the vixen rail so I can mount a dovetail mount to it.
Very usefull video. I did not had the impression that these mounts could be guided. I am looking to buy the AZ-GTiX WiFi.
You Dont need polar aligment assesories, because sowtare have it
Great setup and job! Do you have any link or project for this focuser "L bracket" ? Thanks!

Hello, I have a question: what is the backfocus you use in your optical train?
Thanks for sharing do you need to use the eq Wedge to film the planets won't the Az-gti track with out the Wedge.

Thanks for the comment. The rails that form the base for attaching the guidescope and ASiair use Arca-Swiss compatible plates, available on Amazon.

@@lordoid What kind of focus motor do you use in a C5?. I am looking a for a solution for my telescope. Thanks
Спасибо за видео!
Hello. Nice video. is the polar alignment done with the mak 127 or the guide telescope?
I usually shoot without polar axis alignment. When polar axis alignment is required, it is performed using MAK127.

@@masaschumit1502 wow, thank you. I never thought this tiny mount can load 9kg in total.
@@danghuuchinh2427 Mine is also close to that. 2.3kg counterweight and 4KG Evostar 72ED, Viewfinder, ZWO ASI 120mm, Canon60D. Guide Total 0.90 - 1.3
@@Oxizee Could you tell me the model of the counterweight and the couterweight shaft you are using? Do you have links to these? Thanks!
Does the original guidescope shoe work for a guidescope?
I replaced the shoe, but I think the original shoe will work as well.
@@masaschumit1502 the original shoe works but I wonder how to fix the balance, on heq5 it can't balance
@@masaschumit1502 I would assume the finder shoe is not fascened with washers and is safe to remove?
What bracket are you using to mount your focuser?
Please refer to the following video.
