Great job Dean. I do like the way you work, everything cleaned and tidy with great attention to detail. A super satisfying result to make anyone smile.
Just watched the full series of this rebuild and what an incredible transformation! Appreciating the sheer hard work and termination that must have gone into reaching this goal. A massive congrats and of course, a new subscriber.
Great to see this come together ,The end caps on the spoiler...Get them 3d scanned and then 3d printed but must be in ABS to withstand heat etc.Seen a good alternative above also
Excellent turn out! Make another vid with Silverstone content and please include all costs that you started to write on the begining of series. Great content, keep it up!
Hi Dean, you done an amazing job there mate. Well done Car looks stunning great content of your videos as always thank you for sharing. It’s all with us.
Certainly don’t let former stig play in it. Absolutely smashed it again Dean with this one. Your channel is really gaining momentum now I reckon and subs are up & up. My favourite so far though isn’t this one its the RSQ3 - I think that’s been one to showcase your skill set and the way you’ve described everything to viewers actually works - the info you relay to us makes it feel as if it could be an achievable task for us to take on (maybe pushing it a bit that but you get my drift) Banging content Dean keep em coming fella !
I think it could be a nice ad if u did that little rear lip in black to get some contrast on all the white in the rear, just as the little grill infront of the hood ads to the front👍🏼 if unsure get it wraped in black just to see how it looks. Easy and cheap if u dont like it😁
You have done a cracking job on this one Dean well done. Got to love the quality of Porsche. You can clearly see that throughout the build. Should do another Porsche.
It also looks really good. The work you’ve done is brilliant. The only thing I would say is the crossmember underneath looks quite rusty could do with a bit of paint.
Dean, the ends for your spoiler, you could make a template from cardboard and get some cut out by a sign maker from 8mm Acrylic / ABS sheet shape the edges and paint them and bond them on ! 👍🏻
If you’re talking about the 3-D spoiler on the rear drew Pritchard classic cars and a Renault Williams restoration. He had a few bits done on a 3-D printer for the car in plastic check out that one the Renault Williams restored. You will find people to do your rear spoiler
Great job, impressive!! The 981 is in many ways ”peak automotive”. Top tip: pull the vacuumlines to the exhaust valve actuators (and plug them) and you will have a much more linear sound over the rev range.
I wondered when you might finish this off! A fantastic car! You will have so much fun with it. Congratulations Dean! This was a great project and so much fun to watch it come together! God that exhaust!!!!
I feel like i have a lot of respect for all the work you do on this one and all the other one. I think the structural repairs went really well for 2 reason, Porsche car are very well made with tight tolerances and it appears on your spares body parts. And obviously the job was well made. I work on my car as a hobby rebuilding an engine fully forge on a VW, and people in general don't know all the work, research, failing, is involved on that kind of work. So for that respect budy👌😎
Mole grips on the rear strut piston - maybe not the best way to hold it up. Seals may be next to go in that. Great build though well done - super car 👍
My thoughts too. However the spoiler is curved and the text follows the curve....Would be better with no text, or smaller text ..and the right way up of course....🤔😏😏😏🇬🇧
looking good fella, can see how much this has meant to you bud, may try and get to Silverstone on the 11th, but you never know with my work what's going to happen between then and now 👍
Bloody hell Dean , give yourself one massive pat on the back and then another one. That car looks and sounds fantastic . My monies on you not selling it though. Oh yea ,,,, you my need surgery to get to get that smile off your face . Cheers mate great content , enjoyed it. 😆
Does anyone know roughly the pre repair % reduction on a CAT S. A friend has asked me to sell his car which was recently written off as CAT S. He bought it back after advice from his local mechanic who now says it is beyond him to repair. Is it a case of how long is a piece of string?
Fantastic job Dean well done. Great outcome for this rebuild. Can’t remember what category this car was when you bought it? Will you be getting an independent motor engineer’s inspection done on it before you sell it to increase its value?
What a great effort you put into this GT4,looks fantastic and sounds so good, are you going to keep it or sell it? I have relocated from Australia to Thailand, would love to drive it here 😂well done Dean
Looks and sounds fantastic, a long time in the making but well worth it, Quick question when i win the RS4 what is the process for collecting it or do you deliver? 😂
Take all your measurements for the badges placements. Then take off them off and get your self some 3m peel and press tape it's for doing badges ultra thin and when you press it on its only on the badge hard to explain but when you use the stuff you will know what I mean.
Great job Dean. I do like the way you work, everything cleaned and tidy with great attention to detail. A super satisfying result to make anyone smile.

The spoiler end blades I’d say go gloss black. Personally think that would suit the car well to match the other trims
Storm trooper look.. if that's the look he wants 🤔
Looks great Dean!
Need to get the workshop another tidy!

Great job, your workmanship is second to none, it truly is. Great car.

Looks so good done a great job bringing her back too life

Great results from your hard work, Dean. Fabulous. One of my favourite UA-cam channels.

Great job but did I see rust starting dribble through the rear quarter seam before you put the skirt cover and quarter trim on?
Those shutlines are deeply impressive Dean!! Testament to your hard work and all the effort!
Looks brilliant now, great problem solving during the build - you hammering the driveshaft to try and make it fit did make me wince though! 😊
Great job, impressive!! The 981 is in many ways ”peak automotive”. Top tip: pull the vacuumlines to the exhaust valve actuators (and plug them) and you will have a much more linear sound over the rev range.
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I’ve already done that with the valves , left the valves open all the time. 👌🏼
I wondered when you might finish this off! A fantastic car! You will have so much fun with it. Congratulations Dean! This was a great project and so much fun to watch it come together! God that exhaust!!!!
Really interesting stuff from imico, thanks for sharing. The car looks and sounds insane.

Need to add the black graphic to the N/S rather than removing it like you mentioned in a previous video looks great overall well done Dean
Now, I don't normally like the sound of porsches, but that sounds excellent!
Well done dean. Fab job and to detail which is so good to see. ❤
Mole grips on the rear strut piston - maybe not the best way to hold it up. Seals may be next to go in that. Great build though well done - super car 👍
The Porsche Cayman is so underrated. Great job with this one Dean.

Dean car looks and sounds amazing great job on rebuild 👍
The Porsche decal on the spoiler looks upside down?
My thoughts too. However the spoiler is curved and the text follows the curve....Would be better with no text, or smaller text ..and the right way up of course....🤔😏😏😏🇬🇧
