Physician's Formula has an EXCELLENT palette called the "Butter Bronzer Contour Palette" and it is three pans, one that makes an excellent under-eye powder, one that is a more neutral tone for contour and a beautiful bronzer pan in a little darker tone. It is GORGEOUS, and I am loving it so much. It has been one of my favorite drug store bronzers and it's so handy for the makeup bag because it's not very big but packs a big punch! Another favorite that is just as good as any high-end bronzer stick is the Wet N Wild MegaGlow Vitamin E Makeup Stick in the shade Where's Walnut. It is probably one of the most underrated and un-talked about products in the drugstore. Their blush sticks in the same formula are also really, really good, and I believe they also have a highlighter stick in the same formula but I haven't tried that. Wet N Wild has so many really quality products for one of the cheapest brands at the drug store. LOVE!
I'm returning to makeup videos after a fairly long break. No more buying pallets or luxury brands for me. I have more than enough and can't afford them anyway. So, doing shop the stash. Tonight, I played with a Juvia shadow pallet and loved the sparkly green shade. I'm 66 and normally skip any shimmery colors, but I'm in love. The bits of glitter are TINY, which may be why it looks more subtle than I expected.
My milani highly rated tubing mascara lasts throughout my 14 hour waitressing shifts! I’ve had people be amazed at how well my lashes still look at 11pm!
How could you forget the Wet 'n Wild Photo Focus Loose Baking Setting Powder? It's $5, and it's the best powder, even against high end. Blurs pores and wrinkles! And I'm 65!
As a 40YO who spends way too much on makeup and is trying to find cheaper dupes, my two recs are the Cover Girl Simply Ageless Primer as a cheaper dupe for the Tatcha liquid silk primer, and as someone who loves Armani Luminous Silk and the Haus Gaga foundations, the No17 serum foundation (which some Walgreens carry) is really nice and under $20.
It’s always good to find drugstore options that are “right for you” ! I tend to spend more money than I want to trying to find an inexpensive alternative to products I use and brands I trust.
My favorites are vanicream moisturizer as a base, wet and wild tinted hydrator as foundation, catrice concealer, wet and wild loose powder, juvias place bronzer, juvias place warrior eyeshadow, Milani anti gravity mascara, nyx fat lip oil.
I have loved Juvia's Place Eyeshadow palettes since 2017. I own and use 45 of them. My style is similar to Angelica Nyqvist and Annette's Makeup Corner plus my 75 y/o mom loves them as well. Her style is similar to Jen's. I use Ulta's matte nude eyeshadow primer and Nyx glitter glue. I have hooded eyes.
@bestagentofdarkness exactly! They also have neutral palettes for those who prefer them. While I prefer colorful looks, I did buy the neutral palettes as well because I love JP that much. 😄
Yes! Butter bronzer might not be new but it is still one of the best! I still love it! I also love the L’Oréal infallible matte bronzer and the Milani matte bronzer is good too!
If you want a great lipstick formula with a massive shade range, you can't do better than Maybelline Color Sensational. It is my favorite lipstick formula, period. I especially love the color Red Revival, for all that I rarely wear red lip colors. I like to keep that one around for when I do want a bold red (usually around the holidays).
I love the vinyl lips too. They can be both sheer or pigmented but I love that I can use the darkest colours and sheer them out. What I love the most is that they last without drying my lips. And even when they dry they give more of a creamy lipstick rather than matte as I am over completely matte lips. I've order the catrice corrector after this video and hopes it works. And I want to recommend the essence pen eyeliner. It's easy to use, fine tip very black and lasts all day
I can’t remember where I saw the Catrice under eye primer, but I found it and OMG it is fantastic and works so well. Works really well with my concealer. As I look like I’m permanently recovering from two black eyes, for a variety of reasons, anything that helps minimise the dark circles is ace. Now if only I can find a decent, reasonably priced, powder to set those under eyes and the rest of my face I’m golden
I have extremely hooded eyes and love my shimmer/metallic/glittery shadows. I use NYX glitter EVERY time & get minimal to no transfer to my upper lid. I wear a medium coverage foundation almost all the time. If I ever want a sheer.tinted moisturizer look I just add my moisturizer to my foundation. It makes my skin look healthy but also like I'm not wearing anything.
24:46 U can dab into the Essence Pure Nude h/l and dab into a pressed powder or matte bronzer or blush... kinda bk & forth to make either a bit more illuminating w/o any glitter/shimmer. I do it a lot w/ pressed powder.
I agree!! The Maybelline liquid high gloss lipstick is so good!!!!!! I was very excited that you validated my opinion on them.. Oh boy.... I hope I made sense.. Haha!! I'm trying to type this at work... Shhhhhh..... lol
I have very hooded eyes and I fo a lot of prep. Ud primer potion and set with fenty pro'filtr loose setting powder in butter, fenty match stick in sinnamon, and the color pop eye shadows show up on my tan skin. What would Lizzy do got me turned onto colourpoos Drop of a hat cream to powder blush. This blush barely shows up on my cheeks but it's a great topper for my favorite blush. I tried it as a cream shadow on my hooded eyelids and it lasted phenomenally. I only bought two makeup products for the sale. I was more invested with the colourpop sales. I only did a mini jumbo haul from "the sale."
And commenting again to highlight Juvia's Place products (I've not tried a ton, but I intend to try more and love everything I have tried); you really need to go through Juvia's Place eyeshadow palettes, pick one that speaks to you and marvel at how it can hold its own against ABH, ND and Huda palettes. I own three of their palettes and constantly have to talk myself out of buying more because they'd just duplicate things I already own because Juvia's Place shadows are JUST THAT GOOD. I've only ever heard bad things about one of their palettes, though I can't remember which it was.
I'm enjoying watching your videos today. I really appreciate your content as always. It's Thanksgiving today and just want to wish you and your family a beautiful day!
Juvia's Place lipsticks are my favorite drugstore priced lipstick. I have 12 of them. They are comfortable and don't get gummy on my dry lips. I haven't tried the Milani fetish ones yet.
The IRL concealor is one of my faves. It was my absolute favorite until recently when flower beauty light illusion kicked it out and the catrice true skin is a fave too. ❤
Can relate to the Sephora best skin ever foundation... I put that stuff on and said "best skin ever?! No lies detected." I had been using the good old MAC studio fluid fix whatever the heck it is but DAMN it's expensive so I bought the best skin ever instead and instantly loved it.
I *adore* the ColourPop ultra blotted liquid lip. I don't think I'll use another liquid lipstick again. I like Marcelle eyebrow products and their CC stick. I don't know if Marcelle is available in the US, but it's great!
Juvia's Place has a fantastic powder that they also call a powder foundation (though it doesn't even swatch with as much coverage as that Essence one). Due to that, I've tucked it away to replace my No. 7 powder instead of being the powder foundation I bought it to be.
Favorite thing is that it doesn’t stick to my dry patches that I get on my chin or around my nose. I suffer from facial dermatitis. I apply it with a sponge and it just has enough coverage and sits nicely on my skin.
Just letting you know that your supposed to shake the super stay vinyl ink. The tube has a shaker component in the bottle part. I love that lipstick I have multiple shades and all of them are gorgeous depending on what kind of mood your in
Watching this as I get ready and putting on the Haunted Mansiom palette. Then do my liner and you bring out W&W break up proof which is the best I’ve used.
I had been saying the same exact thing regarding the Ulta Matte Eye Primer. If they come out with darker shades, then it's game over for my MAC Paint Pot
I like Maybelline's Rocket Volum' Express mascara. I liked Maybelline, Flower Beauty, Juvia's Place and Milani lipsticks. Maybe a higher end lipstick would perform better but if so, I don't wanna know. Juvia's Place has great blushes. They're the only drug store formula I own. Nabla is mid range and I like their pinky highlighters as a glowy blush. I think Sigma has a nice blush formula too. Sigma is higher end but they run a lot of sales. For gel liner at the drug store I usually go with Maybelline. I recently decided to try Pixi by Petra and Neutrogena eyeliners and I've been enjoying them. Colourpop is is a bit hit and miss for me with shimmers. I do agree that their mattes are usually great. I tried the Goddess palette by Allter Ego and the formula was nice I just didn't love the tones on me, so I passed it on. I'd try another palette by them. I'm interested in trying out that Huda Beauty dupe that just released.
Drugstore eyeshadow primer that is very good and cheap is wet n wild photofocus eyeshadow primer. It is very creamy, sets fast and eyeshadows last all day.👌
Funny you like the Colourpop blotted lips but not the lux velvet, because I hate the blotted for being so dry and textured on me but the lux velvet are my favorite bullet and liquid lip lines bc they’re so smooth on me
The butter bronzer in the flavors/scents/whatever they released a year or two ago is amazing because that coconut smell was OVERPOWERING. But my little 'butter donut' one is much better!
You can't rely on vein color as a way to determine skin tone. When in doubt, go neutral, or use a tinted moisturizer to even things out. If you're really trying to figure out if you're cool or warm, flip your bottom lip down and see if it's rosy pink (cool), or more of a coral peachy pink (warm). Another good way to determine your undertones (in lighter skin tones) is to try on a light bubblegum pink lipstick or gloss. If it looks like it belongs there, you're cool. If it makes you look sick or sallow (yellow/grey, heavily shadowed) you're warmer. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to ask more questions. 💕
Those Maybelline Lip Vinyls don't work for me at all! They flake off, don't stay on nice or long, and they just never look great on me... Instead, the NYX Shine Loud lipstick thingies are amazing!!!! They stay on all day but don't look like crap wearing down, and the lip gloss is nice and buttery without being sticky!!! Love them!
This was "the butt edition".😅 But especially these days, very nice video to have. Also, my young teen is learning to do makeup and I want her to have good quality products (more difficult to learn with crap), but not pay the high price as long as she is learning and figuring out what she likes.
Oily eyelidded girl here... NONE of the drug store eye primers work for me. They ALL CREASE, and i have tried all of the recommended favorites. Urban Decay original primer potion is the only one that keeps my shadow from creasing unfortunately. 🫤
Oily lids here. WnW eyeshadow primer is great for creasing but it dried my lids. If you don't have crepey lids, it'll be great for you. What currently works for me is a mattifying sunscreen. I use Australian Gold as my face sunscreen, I put either milani or UD eye primer on top and I get no creasing. Sunscreen or primer on its own don't work but together it's great.
I stick to the MAC paint pot Painterly for eye shadow primer. It lasts forever. It still creases on me, the Soft Ochre is too drying for my lids, but the Painterly works well for me.

Thanks for adding this in the comments. I've never tried that product. I probably should, huh? Haha!
Yes! Best loose powder in my opinion, and I’m 64.
That's the one I use! It's perfect!
68 here so imma give it a whirl! Thank you!🙏🏻❤️
❤Thank you for this! Do they have a pink one? 66 myself.😊
Right???
Thank you!
It’s always good to find drugstore options that are “right for you” ! I tend to spend more money than I want to trying to find an inexpensive alternative to products I use and brands I trust.
Jen Luv you are just going to put a dab of eyeshadow on your clear gloss. We know you rarely do the lipstick thing 😎
The L’Oréal lumi bronzer is my favorite! The fair shade is on the cooler side, it has a gentle sheen, it’s buildable, and the pan is huge 🙌🏻
I've been trying to build an all-drugstore makeup look for my homecoming so thank you, Jen!
My favorites are vanicream moisturizer as a base, wet and wild tinted hydrator as foundation, catrice concealer, wet and wild loose powder, juvias place bronzer, juvias place warrior eyeshadow, Milani anti gravity mascara, nyx fat lip oil.

Juvias is great for fun colors, they have nice small sizes as well as big ones.
@bestagentofdarkness exactly! They also have neutral palettes for those who prefer them. While I prefer colorful looks, I did buy the neutral palettes as well because I love JP that much. 😄

I would try that, but I heard Maybelline has coffee scented lipsticks. Not my thing 😢

Yes please, LOVE these type of videos ❤❤❤

Hi Jen! I received the candle today, and it smells wonderful!

The colourpop tinted moisturizer is one of my favs for no makeup makeup days to even things out!
This gave QVC energy in the best way possible
Girrrrl. Omg. You went all in! You are giving such incredible recommendations. I love this video so much. Thank you!!!

Can you do an updated colourpop vest and worst from the brand. I am still renewing my knowledge from the brand. Thank you. Hugs. ❤❤❤

Yes!!! Always shocked that they're not talked about more!
I love the ulta matte eye primer. It is nice on my oily eyelids.
I SWEAR by the Maybelline Vinyl Ink!
Elf has a $2 clear brow gel that has also a clear mascara (its a dual one). Its the one I love and it lasts all day long.
I'm enjoying watching your videos today. I really appreciate your content as always. It's Thanksgiving today and just want to wish you and your family a beautiful day!

Especially for a pinky Swatch lavender shade showed up great
I love the Milani mascara. It's a great dupe for the Thrive mascara.
“Sand in my butt crack”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think that will be the name of my new band. 🤪
I like the lighter brows too!
I use the Sephora foundation due to one of your previous recommendations of it and love it. Thanks Jen! 💜
just a note about the maybelline vinyl inks - they stay super sticky for ages.
I *adore* the ColourPop ultra blotted liquid lip. I don't think I'll use another liquid lipstick again. I like Marcelle eyebrow products and their CC stick. I don't know if Marcelle is available in the US, but it's great!

I’m a bellydancer…… it didn’t transfer on my white silk veil! And lasted 7 hours being outside for a show and performing 4 routines !!!!! Love it !
Watching this as I get ready and putting on the Haunted Mansiom palette. Then do my liner and you bring out W&W break up proof which is the best I’ve used.
Maybelline has good blushes as well!
I had been saying the same exact thing regarding the Ulta Matte Eye Primer. If they come out with darker shades, then it's game over for my MAC Paint Pot
Thank you
Essence has a second slightly darker/warmer shade now in that highlighter! ❤
Sand in my butt crack made me snort laugh JEN 😭🤣
That beautiful foundation brush, what brand is it? 😍
Thank you !
Jenn what brand foundation brush are you using to demo the sephora foundation love it!
❤ thanku love some of these products 😊
in regards to the ordinary, it makes sense for them to make a really good primer! primers kind of blur the lines between makeup and skin care anyways.
Hey Jen the maybelline lip vinyl swatches, what are the names of them? Ty ❤
Loved this video!
The essence baked highlighter they do have other Shades cuz I have one that it looks white but when you apply it has like a pinkish purple shift
I like Maybelline's Rocket Volum' Express mascara.
I liked Maybelline, Flower Beauty, Juvia's Place and Milani lipsticks. Maybe a higher end lipstick would perform better but if so, I don't wanna know.

Try the Revlon ColorStay I think that's what it's called it's the new Revlon eyebrow pencil it's a micro small little tiny guy but it's amazing
I have that eyeliner, too! Mine blew up. 💥 Good news, it's is glGood Greif Proof. Bad news, it ruined a shirt and got spots on the washroom floor.
I used to use that essence highlighter all the time. It was the only one that wouldn’t look bronzed on me lol
The product links on screen were blocking the text that you put on the screen for me.
The butter bronzer in the flavors/scents/whatever they released a year or two ago is amazing because that coconut smell was OVERPOWERING. But my little 'butter donut' one is much better!
It's so difficult for me to shade match foundation online! Especially because I'm not sure of my undertone! My viens are in every color!!!
If it makes you look sick or sallow (yellow/grey, heavily shadowed) you're warmer.
I hope this is helpful. Feel free to ask more questions. 💕
@kittiewoodheath4140 thank you! I appreciate the help! I'll see if those work for me. 😊
Love them!
The vinyl lips aren't sheer at all if you shake for 20 seconds like the directions say.
I think I'm bougie. But then I see all of the ELF, NYX, and ColourPop in my drawers.
Does anyone know where I can find eyelashes that look natural. I have very skimpy eyelashes. Even my eye doctor commented about them.
Ardell and Kiss both make very natural lashes. You can also cut a lash in half and put a half lash on the outer corner. Looks really pretty!
❤❤
I can’t use a single Color Pop palette because they use bismuth oxychloride in everything. Makes my eyes burn and sting!!
Agreed, not to mention, cheap talc
This was "the butt edition".😅 But especially these days, very nice video to have. Also, my young teen is learning to do makeup and I want her to have good quality products (more difficult to learn with crap), but not pay the high price as long as she is learning and figuring out what she likes.
Oily eyelidded girl here... NONE of the drug store eye primers work for me. They ALL CREASE, and i have tried all of the recommended favorites. Urban Decay original primer potion is the only one that keeps my shadow from creasing unfortunately. 🫤
That is super interesting, my eyeshadow creases with the ud primer potion. Lol
What works for you? I'm always hoping to find a less expensive option!
Love these types of videos! I work hard for the coin 😂
