I think you can get away with things being a little off the more stylized the nook. The more it needs to look "real", the more precise the scale needs to be. I do make more accurate scales but usually end up eyeballing everything anyway!
It’s incredibly easy to work with… which is good… and bad. Ya gotta go easy on sanding and it is pretty soft outta the gate. However… get a little finish into the grain and it can hold up pretty well. I’m gonna seal the wood before finishing it just to toughen it up a bit!
