This video was shot with a very limited crew. All cast & crew followed all CDC and California COVID-19 precautions and filming guidelines.

Shayne really captured the primal terror of that moment when the door knob turns and you’re doing your business.
It's worse when it's the bathroom at home and someone pushes the door open because they think it's funny
The anxiety of knowing someone is waiting for you, and they know, based on how long you took, exactly which business you conducted.
Back when I was in college, they had stalls where the door didn't go all the way up. Maybe like 6 foot tall doors. When I was in one, a dude peeks over the top and looks down, "Oh dude, you're taking a crap, didn't see ya." It's something else to have someone staring down at you as you are at your most vulnerable.
@@mayssm There are legit perverts that will try to catch a glimpse of your "goods". Whether peeking over/under/through gaps, or side-eyeing you at the urinal. I don't use public bathrooms unless it's an emergency, and even then I will try my best to find a single-occupant bathroom.

I’m really glad that Shayne’s entire presence was just one running gag in the same scene throughout the video (other than the foot model stand-in he did.) There’s some sort of special comedy to having a character dedicated to one recurring bit like that, it somehow makes it funnier when you expect them to be in another scene but it never happens.

It makes sense, the public bathroom is like a horror game on wheels. You never know what’s going on in there.

I worked in fast food for four years, and we had the locksmith fix the locks for the bathrooms at least five times. I originally thought that it was because they didn't do their job properly, but I found out later that it was just that our guests kept breaking the locks by jiggling the handle when it was locked. I literally had a guest come up to me and complain that he couldn't get into the restroom because it was locked, and I had to explain to him that that meant SOMEBODY WAS IN THERE and he was like "Ohhh," like the thought hadn't occurred to him. People are stupid.

I can’t tell you how nasty it is to me when I see people not wash their hands. I had a teacher when I was in school who used to do that all the time and I refused to accept food from him when he offered the snacks out.

Ugh the anxiety of using the public bathroom at a store/ restaurant or friends house is real
every time i go to a friend’s house, i’m suddenly not hungry or have to use the bathroom. my body is like “you’re not home so you can’t do anything here!”
I've stopped having that anxiety because of a bad experience after not going to the bathroom for a few days while staying at a friend's house when I was a kid. That anxiety really gets to you, I don't know how my little kid brain thought that I would be able to just not go to the bathroom for a full week.

I rarely go to the bathroom in public, I make sure to go to the bathroom if I need to before I leave home, and unless my stomach is acting up I can hold it in for a full 9 hour shift and it's not painful at all.
Side note: Surprised that there was no mention of how the hell public bathrooms got 1/4 ply toilet paper that would dissolve with a slight breeze.
This sounds like an issue. I mean, yeah, you don't want to use a public restroom if possible, but if you have to shape your day around bathrooms, that's kinda unhealthy.

Every public bathroom (especially bathrooms with one toilet like in a workplace) should have a Vacant/Occupied lock on it.
Mine does I work at Lunds and Byerley’s in White Bear Lake and they have single use bathrooms in the break room and they have a vacant/occupied lock on the door

My worst experience in a public bathroom includes... Toilet not flushing in the mall bathroom during Christmas shopping rush.
Also, a stand-off between myself and the girl in the stall beside me. Silence. You could hear a pin drop. Neither of us could initiate a stream. We sat there, bare bottomed, atop the toilet waiting for the other to leave so we could pee. After the most awkward 10 minutes of my life, I washed my hands and left... Bladder full.

I went to one of those places where you're supposed to draw all over and they gave you markers. I assumed the bathroom was going to be crazy.
But the girls bathroom only had writing on the door to leave and it was all inspirational quotes saying that, "you're beautiful inside and out," "be the queen you know you are", and etc. They were all nice! I loved it!

I swear, the bits with Shayne in the bathroom and someone endlessly jiggling the handle is so accurate. I work at a restaurant and whenever I have to go to the restroom, it always feels like that shit happens at least once. Like it's bad enough that some of these people don't know how to knock, but even after I yell that someone's in there, it's like they think that continuing to check the handle will change that, even though it was clearly locked the first time they pulled.
In general I feel like some people don't know how single toilet public restrooms work, lmao. I can't tell you how many times I've had people walk up to the register asking about the locked bathroom and one of us having to explain that someone is *probably* in there.

4:20 and that is smart not to poop in public. Public restrooms are never cleaned properly or enough. Just think dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people could use that toilet without it getting cleaned even once. People that could have who knows what and whatever they have can get onto the toilet seat and in the toilet water. You sit on that seat or you poop and the water splashes onto you and now it's on or more terrifying in you. So now you could have whatever that person had. Public bathrooms are a health safety hazard yet people use them everyday without a second thought.
