    Paul always comes across so composed and down to earth, yet he speaks softly about his past.
    Dangerous but oddly so fascinating too .

    Always liked Paul, very well spoken and articulate. Seems like the type of man who wouldn’t bother anyone without good reason. Wouldn’t like to get on the wrong side of him. Good interview 👍

    He comes across very likeable and endearing paul , but you can just tell he's a dangerous man he's a man you never hear a bad word said about even though he's lived the life he's lead , best of luck to him one of the real solid old school

      Met him back in the late 90's at a car wash i worked at, really nice guy, got the feeling as we were no threat to him and not part of his world he was fine with us, the owner of the place stayed away from him though.

      The reason you dont hear bad things about him is because out of all the so called heavys back in the day he done his time everytime he got nicked. More than you can say about most of the others. This is why hes respected grew up in the same scheme with him. Decent guy n doesnt like bullys.

    My father and his family are all from east Glasgow and Paul Ferris reminds me so much of them. My father's older brother was as hard as nails and he spoke very softly like Ferris with very similar mannerisms. It was said that it was like a switch could flick in his head and he would go from calm to extreme violence in a instant, next thing guys would be lying around with mashed faces. But just like Ferris, to meet him you would never have guessed it.

    I can say from experience that Paul is bang on the button about the screws in Bar, strangely the best ones I met were in the Wendy, at least that was my thoughts but like he said there are some good ones, some bad ones and a chunk in between who are just doing their job no more and no less. Was in at the same time but never met him.

    • @happybee7725
      @happybee7725 Рік тому

      No one except pass men met paul when he was in for fat boys murder. He was kept in the wendy the whole time and any time he was moved around the prison his route was cleared of all cons.
      The reason the screws in the wendy were more chill was because they knew most of the cons that got put there didn’t take any nonsense.
      Did you ever do time up the ranch? The worst screw I ever came across was in low moss. I can’t remember his real name coz most cons called him rambo. He was an absolute animal.A horrible sick individual.

      @@happybee7725 yeah I remember that cunt, him his moustache and his piss hole in the snow eyes under his ridiculously low peaked bunnet, he used to stand on that route just looking for weakness. I never met him outside of jail but according to some of the boys, who I've no reason to doubt, he used to go into the city centre looking for shoplifters along with his son' just so he could tackle them! The guy was an out and out arsehole, even the other jannies hated him, he caught me smoking in the woodshed and snuck up behind me so I spun round and cupped it in my hand behind my back then he bear hugged me, grabbed my hand and crushed it so I burnt myself but I laughed at him cause as you know a roll ups not got much of a head on it then he tried to get me carted for it but the P.O. basically told him to piss off and right a report.
      Jails like that, hundreds of funny wee moments punctuated with the odd bit of mindless violence, trust me mate - I will never miss that shitter of a place but I do find myself laughing at the things I seen. Good luck to you mate 😉👍be lucky.

      “Piss holes in the snow eyes” 😂😂😂 that made me laugh out loud. Thats the most accurate description of him I could ever imagine.😂
      I actually kinda liked the ranch. It was a good laugh. An absolute dump but it was good fun compared to most other nicks. Plenty of violence happening to keep you entertained.😂 I saw a guy who was like two foot infront of me on the route get slashed a real bad one. You could see his teeth and everything. A wee dude snuck up past me and slashed him, pushed him a bit then ran back along the route to hide himself among the other cons. Dude turned and looked at me and I thought he thought it was me that did it but he must have been expecting it as he ran back along the route looking for the wee dude that done it. Over smack unsurprisingly.
      All the best to you too buddy. And stay out of trouble😂👍

      @jasongunn yes they are good. Vendetta is by far the best, thats a brilliant read. I didnt really like the ones after that. I felt he was pushing it out to far. Thats why when they make a great film they decide not to make a sequel. As they believe it ruins the first one. And it does. it depends on what the first film is about. They did it with all the alien films by making another 4 or 5 and it kind of ruinend the first one. Aliens is the best one out them all. As it wasnt the same film as alien and was called aliens, and they didnt do a sequel to aliens. Yes that was brilliantly made that one.

      @trailblazerstu he might have been. But theres so many younger teams coming through the money in crack and smack and hash compared to 20, 30 years ago now is like printing your own money now. Heroin and coke and hash always had alot of cash in it in glasgow but now its spreading further by the day. And you just have to look at all the top players who have been cought in the last 20 years and cought in teams? Like 8 to 12 men and all goes down for 5 to 18 years in jail. A mean courts never gave out 18 year sentences for huge drug hauls 25 to 30 odd years ago, and even more than 18. So that shows there not fucking about now. The first man to be given a big sentence for drugs that i clearly remember was arty thompson, i was really suprised at that when i was age just 13 and eating my dinner at tea time as we do infront of the tv and the news was on and then i just heard the newsreader saying "arthur thompson jailed for 11 years at the high court in glasgow for dealing in heroin" and it showed him and another man being lead from court into the waiting van taking them to barlinnie. I found out the other man was johna mckenzie who got 7 years. Then the news reader told the story from his desk as they do. He said arthur thompson age 30 is the son of glasgow crime boss arthur thompson senior, when sentence was passesd thompson looked down at the ground and shook his head in disbelieve. While his co accused johna mckenzie remainend stone faced as he was given 7 years, the police had thompson and mckenzie under survailance for some time before moving in on the two men, they raided mckenzies flat first and found heroin and wraps all neatly cut out from a book of pages that was then found at thompsons house the cout outs all matched" i said 11 years for selling drugs isnt that a bit much. People dont get that for murder. A friend said to me but do you know how bad heroin is? A said no a dont even know what it is or looks like. Thats how niave alot alot of people were to it then, i didnt have a clue. In school a teacher told me people kill for heroin, its an evil, dirty, filthy drug and he should of got 25 years. That would make a huge difference. Instead of all these pathetic sentences and he will be out after 6 or 7 years to do it again, its all about money, thats why they wont give them more than 20 years in jail, my teacher said or even 10 years.
