I've seen those specks or sediment at the bottom of black soap. It's from the natural black soap making process, it has those sediment particles which is why it's not good to use the bar soap directly on your skin because it's like rocks scratching.

Yessss I wash my ends too lol I feel they can still get build up then not be able to retain moisture once you moisturize and seal
