This feels a bit like an exponential ramp up game to me. You need to really make some careful, strategic decisions to be competitive, or your score will be 1/3rd of the bot.
Great video. I was tempted to get this, but I don't typically play heavy solo games. I have not played any Lacerda games either, but did ask the wife for Kanban EV for my birthday later this year.
Hi! I love this game after 3 plays (2 solo, one 3players). But iam worried about VJ be able to destroy us with no chance to win in any solo games.. Have you ever approach his score? Strange because the designer is known for his solo work. I believe he put everithing into the multi this time. Anyways i think we will see a way to adjust the automa score accordingly and still use the great solo module.
Just finished a solo game. I am positive I made some mistakes. I lost 205-200. I think. The rule book is great. Took me a while to realize every tile is numbered and referenced as such in rule book. So helpful.
@@JohnLaRuffa by saying that you've almost sold me on pompero haha! Should I get Australia straight away or is not as interesting for solo? Any thoughts on the upcoming expansion? New 6th action?
@stormburns I would just get the base game and enjoy that first. The new map did not really add that much. I am much more excited for the next expansion to be honest.
It isn’t too bad except for the part where you need to put the 1-7 power stations in on your player board. It is just like setting up a lot of the other heavy Euros that I have. While it goes faster when you know what to do, you are still looking at 15 minutes or so I would say.
Thank you for the review, definitely not for me this one. Looks too fiddly, too convoluted and over-complicated 😅. But I know you like Lacerdas so definitely understand why you like this one too 👍

Right after I posted this I realized I forgot the loan payback. So $170. I got lucky with majorities against VJ.

Good video. I enjoyed a two player one handed game. Going to play my first solo game today. VJ does look impossible.

100% Nucleum. It is a better game and you can beat the AI. I am not sure you can win Pompero yet…

It looks like an absolute pain in terms of set up and teardown? Other than that it looks amazing!!

It’s not that fiddly except for the setup, but it is probably not for you based on what I know of your gaming preferences.
