It’s really upsetting because I love all our native bush but due to climate change and logging, our forests are being chopped down like there’s no tomorrow (probably because there is none)

Find a fallen, dead tree, make some firewood, sit back and relax, enjoy the 24/hr sunlight in the summer, or come in fall (this is when berries and mushrooms are growing) And watch the pitchblack sky lit up by millions of start.

This channel has awakened a desire in me to go there and experience the land and the culture, to really connect with my roots. People talk about "the indigenous peoples." We're all indigenous people of somewhere , and for me it is Scandinavia, Scotland and Wales. Thank you for the beautiful gift of reminding me, and of showing me what my true heritage is.

    • @j-ch8787

      Hi Dauna.
I just saw a scottish band before I listened to this swedish nice singer. I lived in norge og sweden.
I have scot irish and irish ancestors.. Yu are probably Scot. But yu said yu had origins from scandinavia.
Am french but same kind of origins as yurs. And I was surprised discovering that I had in my genealogical tree also, through irish and scott... Scandinavian origins. (my father side). What was funniest is that during my searches in Tirol (for my maternal side) I found in archives in Innsbruck a paper in old austro bayern language which title was "rentieren aus norvegen" (rentals from norway) which explained that my ancestors coming from their austro provinz in the Alps, buit some buildings around Oslo and bought lands there, that they rented to the local people . So they had money coming back from north to alps long ago... 16` century!
(they participated to the edification of stockholm palace too)
It s strange to discover those roots and facts.
People often think that in old times people were very "static" staying in a very restricted area where they were born and it s totally insane. False. People used to migrate and made trade with countries far away from their homes.
Did yu hear about those "scandinavian momies" which were discovered in the dry desert above Beijing a few years ago? Chinese archeo searchers couldn t understand who were those 3 dead bodies. Their morpho types and clothes / jewels / weapons found, didn t correspond to any local cultures. An enigma.
They decided to send a description and pics - on internet through university institutions asking for help in a way. - from their discovering. And scandinavian archeos respond to them saying "hey! That s scand typical clothes and jewels from our very old culture... Milenaries AEC! Interesting! We re coming soon to study these momies correctly but... We re already sure."
      And it was confirmed.
Can yu imagine the trip the journey through all these landscapes from scandinavia to china? They supposed after studying artefacts in china (very dried cose of dried atmosphere in sand desert) they were worthy merchants who died there and were buried in desert... who used to make this old trade road between north europe and asia.
That was quite a marvelous discovering isn t it? I like to dream on such true history... Imagine their huge and dangerous travel which could be quite an adventure at that times. And a very long one....

Where I'm from (Maine, USA) is much like your beloved Sweden. Our state is 3/4 forest and our population is mostly clustered along the coast and the border that we share with Canada. Our culture, both American and Native American, is not as deep and ancient as yours but we share the same feeling. Thank you so very much for this video.
