The unemployed son who moved back in with his parents should’ve left well enough alone. How dare he tell homeowners that lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years where to park. I'm not saying the plaintiff should push the old lady but if you watch the video carefully the old lady did slap Ms Marshall on her hand before she was push.. Watch the video carefully
I was with the plaintiffs until I saw the video... She is a straight up liar and should have been convicted of assault. And because that lady is a disabled elderly, it makes it worse! Both groups are rotten though.

Why even confront the elderly lady? You already parked. Go about your business. Do not engage. Then she wouldn't have, maybe, slapped your hand and even if she did, you assaulted her. You're lucky she wasn't injured even more severely. You were let off in that case. But JJ saw what really happened. Shame on you.
I viewed this once and was looking for it to show my son. The plaintiff’s behavior was absolutely inappropriate. The defendant gait is slow and not steady. There was rage and anger which led to this unfortunate incident! People choose not to get along, behaving similar to grade school students. I understand the defendant’s son wanting his mother to have the closest parking to her home. You have to buy private property in order to have the right to park in front of your house. The plaintiff and defendant need to buy private properties . They don’t know how to compromise.
Why couldn’t the son just park where he told the plaintiffs to park and be done with??? The defendant literally showed judge Judy that there were other spaces to park but HE chose to park in front of the plaintiff’s house knowing that they would park in front of his mother’s house. That’s why he stood there. If he wanted his elderly mother to have the parking spot in front of her house which I understand why didn’t he just park down the street and walk and not cause problems, where there weren’t any problems for 20 years???? This man is just an unemployed entitled jerk. That’s the problem with America. That’s why this country is going to hell. I’m not excusing the plaintiff’s behavior at all no elderly person should be assaulted in such a manner but HER son is the one causing ALL the problems.
According to the diagram, they both have driveways. Why can't they use them for parking instead of the street? Did I miss something? I feel my car is safer in my driveway rather than on the street.
Everyone is wrong because they are constantly pushing each other's buttons. In the incident in the video, the plaintiff makes it sound like the defendant comes up to the plaintiff and she was defensive only. The defendant may have initiated it (may because you can not see plaintiff behind the car and could have talked first) but the plaintiff is the one who closes the distance and gets right in the defendant's face. And she did not last see her standing, she saw the fall.
Just be a kind neighbor and leave the old lady have her spot. I realize street parking is public parking and you have a right, But…. try to be a Kinder person. One day you will older! AND never push an elder like that! JJ was your karma for that deed.
The defendants aren't even parking in front of the plaintiffs home. The plaintiffs aren't parking across from there home but down a house across the street. This is all crazy
The ridiculous irony is, by his own testimony, his own car was parked across the street from where he wanted his parents to park. If he didn't want his neighbors parking there, why not just move his car to that spot and give the neighbor the spot on their side of the street and when his parents arrive, he can either have them stop at their driveway and he can help his mother into the house and they can park the car elsewhere, or he can move his car and allow his parents to park there WITHOUT blocking a parking spot on a public street, and they can park close to the house and he can help his Mom inside. THAT sounds like a MUCH more sensible plan to me, rather than deliberately blocking an open parking spot and causing a ruckus on a public street and antagonizing his neighbors, when he is parked on their side to begin with, just because he feels so selfish and entitled to have ALL his cars be parked close to his house, for the sake of convenience, and who cares where the neighbors park.
If there were other places to park, as the defendant said & showed on the diagram. Then why didn’t he park there?? These people have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. The defendant just moved into to his parent’s house and he wants to control where people can park on a public street??? The entitlement is unbelievable.

He should apply for a "handicap parking spot". Then no one can park in that spot without getting towed.
