I compared the 5-30 Optika 6 directly to my Razor G2 4.5-27 and found the Optika to have slightly better clarity and resolution at max magnification. I also noticed less CA on the Optika. I did have more stray light on the Optika but adding a sunshade mitigated the issue. The razor has a larger FOV and more forgiving eyebox but in my opinion, the Optika produced a slightly tighter image (notably so when dialing down the Optika to 27x). Colors are slightly cooler on the Razor by a tiny margin. I also seemed to experience less eye fatigue behind the Optika although I cant explain why. Downrange, practically speaking, I noticed more detail when looking through the Optika at max zoom. I did not like how muddy the razor's image gets on a hot day at max zoom. Both subjective tests had these scopes on the same rifle, rings etc. I think getting behind the razor is faster but when you focus on the details (like a brick's texture or grout work on a house at 100-200 yards) for me, the Optika seemed to provide a more accurate image. I must have gone back and fourth in doubt for many hours but honestly, the Optika 6 blew my mind...at any price. I wouldn't spend the extra money on the razor although I will say the illumination and turrets are superior on the razor. Optika's turrets are positive but are not as easy to manage as the razor's. You can feel the rotation and click on the razor without overdoing it while on the Optika, you have to be mindful of each click without over-revving past your stopping point. Both tracked well during my box tests but I would rather have the razor's turrets at the end of the day. The zero stop works well on the Optika but due to the mechanical design of the relationship between the cap and markings, getting the adjustments to always align with the marks takes some fiddling with the top cap screw.
@@ayougo from what I’ve seen out of the 3-18, I actually don’t doubt what you describe in regards to resolution & detail. I find the color & contrast are very true to life and add to the sense of sharpness throughout the image. There’s a possibility the 5-30 might even be that much better and if so, I can totally understand how favorably the glass stacks up to the razor g2.
@@ertatta I own a 4.5-27X56mm Gen II Razor and Meopta Optika 6 5-30X56mm. Razor has better glass. Not noticeable until you get passed 300 yards. I Like both. @@DarkLordOfOptics from what I understand the Meopta MEOPRO Optika6 5-30x56 and a rifle scope
@@stefanomannias6041 Correct. It is a riflescope.
@@DarkLordOfOptics we understand very well that it is a rifle scope. but you did not answer my first question, surely you are not prepared enough
@@stefanomannias6041 You asked me to compare a riflescope to a spotting scope. That makes no sense.
This or vortex razor?Just comparing durability and glass.
There is a 2x price difference. If you can afford the Razor, go for that.
@@DarkLordOfOptics thanks
But Arken EP-5 is almost as nice as the Meopta. Plus it has a better warranty. And right now you get a combo back for free. Free shipping and no tax. $565.00. The illumination isn’t that great. The turrets are better thought out.
Hello
Where can I find you're email address
Where would you recommend I should buy this scope in the USA
In the USA, there are plenty of dealers. CameraLandNY, LiebrtyOptics, SWFA, etc. If you want to contact me directly, use the contact form on my website. That goes to my e-mail.

I am mildly annoyed by all the unboxing stuff on UA-cam. I have never bought anything for the box it came in.
