Wait, what?? I didn’t even know this album dropped yet…you promoting this album better than they are lmaooo Bout to go listen to this joint first then doubling back to the reaction!
I think if you give this some time you will change your mind respectfully! 🤝🏽 my first listen felt the same but for some reason it’s hitting so hard rn
man not sure how i feel about this one. going to ramble, but i'm all over the place with my personal rating, gonna need to digest for quite a while. it's really frustrating to know how good earl is at producing, and how good he sounds over his own production, seeing him just not produce anymore. this album is so safe, same thing happened with sick. it sounds good, but it's just kind of meh at the same time, especially knowing what earl is capable of(those 2 armand hammer tracks he prod last year were incredible, wish he would've done something like that). we'll see how it grows on me, i really love some of the tracks. I hope he drops something more experimental in the next few months, even though it'll likely be another 2 years.
@@wide_Aaron SRS and FOC are my fav Earl albums too, it’s annupopular opinion lol. I like that dusty sample heavy Earl, it reminds me of MIKE and Billy Woods a little bit.
I feel you. I like albums like SRS, even FOC, and IDLS way more than this… and I think it would be cool if Earl revisited that, but at the same time, he was in such a dark place in his life when making those albums. So while yes, I think this album isn’t ambitious at all, for him to go back to that sound is kinda like… at what cost? Either way tho, I’ll still tap in. I will just know what the peaks are. Thanks for watching! I enjoyed reading your thoughts!
I see where everyone is coming from but imo I think this is my favorite since SRS bc of how much he’s matured in his perspective while rapping. Like he sounds so much more at peace and The production reflects that as well. for me it felt like a bit of a victory project where he’s able to reflect on the things that happened in FOC, IDLSIDGO & SRS from the other side and though it may not sound as experimental it makes sense in the arc of the projects he’s released. After all his raps are just a report on his life.
I love it. Might be my 2nd favorite album from Earl and 2nd favorite from Al. Only thing I didn’t love was the changes he made to Godspeed and Couldn’t Miss This One. I thought the live versions we had sounded much better.
@@MINO ofc man, u earned a sub. It’s probably my 2nd favorite album from this year after Maps from Billy Woods. I thought the first half of the album was definitely stronger though.
Maybe it's just me and my slow mind.. i really like earl only from his earlier years, now his flow and beat choices is so much more complex and hard for me to enjoy.
Prolly will never happen but would be dope if Earl dropped another Doris type album, Earl is capable of taking the game over but seems comfortable putting out sub par sh!t, imo.
I already said it under one of your video but if you really looking for wild & mindblowing rap music listen to He Left nothing for the Swim Back by Skech185 for pete's sake !
I was afraid you were gonna go easy on Alchemist. Like he can do no wrong. Thanks for keeping it real. Vin Skully is probably the laziest Alchemist beat I’ve ever heard.
They dropped the album on this site... apparently it's dropping on streaming later

I like hearing reviewer’s perspective about Earl Sweatshirt who listened to EARL The Mixtape

🇳🇬
you realise the beat for all the small things is a loop too?
yes, but there’s a difference between that and 80% of the album. A very obvious one at that.
it’s nice but nothing special imo
yup that’s where I’m at
