@@sleepflower93 Recently Nicky said that they tried to get something together for a potential 30th anniversary tour for THB, but when they played "Faster" in rehearsals it just didn't sound right anymore. It's a real shame, but that's what happens when a band ages and changes. He did reiterate that it is a very challenging album to perform live, so that explains why the only song from it you're likely to hear played live today is "This is Yesterday" since that one is relatively simple compared to the rest. It's also probably a really emotional album to play live considering it was Richey's final musical statement before his continued mental decline and subsequent disappearance (he did have lyrics left over that were used on future albums, but he was last directly involved with THB). They definitely want to do it justice, and I can respect their decision to focus on songs they feel more comfortable performing. Hopefully we'll get to hear something like "Faster" or "Yes" at least one more time, but if all they want to do is put on the best damn show they can, I'm here for it.
Sean is very under-rated drummer! He is the power behind the band.I love Manics so much and this is very funny and good to see! Thanks for posting it! Love James trying hard, Nicky sulking and being difficult, and Sean just starts bashing away brilliantly to get the song started.
It's so funny the things they remember and forget - Nicky's the lyric team, so he forgets the bass parts, James is the music team so seems like a memory wizard with every note, but can't remember the lyrics XD I know that feel, drives me insane when I feel like my own music should be permanently stapled into my head, but...it isn't O__O I love this song, definitely one of my favourite post-Richey moments...
Obviously Nicky was in a mellow mood, hence he suggested Tsunami and Further Away and James wants something aggressive to "clear the deck abit". =) Thanks for the upload!
Oh I wish I'd of been there, I love the Manics so much and to watch them in a relaxed enviroment like that, even if they cant agree on a song, is just brilliant. hope the documentary gets released :)
I snuck out of a dead end job in greenwich village when I heard on the foreverdelayed board there would be a midday screening it a few blocks away from where i worked. Best decision I ever made. The doc was fucking amazing. A Let It Be for Manics freaks that have never seen their creative process explored in such detail. I hope it comes out at some point.
heh someone should do a youtube poop thing of sean doing that face and the 'fuck off' line with james's tonsil throttling 'furthaaAAA' on a 5 minute loop! Lol. Still cracks me up coming back to this clip every so often.
Never realized that La Tristesse Durera kind of sounds like Waiting Room by Fugazi in a different key. Or maybe not. I'm a shitty musician. Also, this clip rules. I could watch stuff like this forever. You can tell that they're still such great friends.
gingerkk1 I've been a fan of them since I heard "Tolerate". Think I've only heard his voice maybe once or twice before, on the "Everything Live" video.
This is what being in a band is really like - a million bucks or piss poor - it all comes down to ...do you wanna play ??? No ....i dont -i want to get a sandwhich . "I know lets play " ....NAH !!!!
@NoManifestoFilm may I ask how much? I'm just thinking a couple of quid from the people on the fansites, raising at concerts and even on youtube would tleast help towards it
Great vid!love to see behind the scenes vids like this,I can't see it being released sadly, footage is 4 years old now, can't the band & management help out?surely there's other ways to release it!?
@hyllaf We have investigated this possibility. Professional investors are looking for either philanthropic endeavours, or a potentially large return on the investment, and our film offers neither.
@NoManifestoFilm Gutted, can't you get sponsorship through the band? or just charge people via preorders and send out dvd's, or doesn't it work like that?
@DarylJCheetham It is neither ethical nor legal to solicit donations without the expectation of being able to raise a sufficient sum to accomplish the objective, because if we fail to release the film we will have taken money under false pretences. We are looking into our options for crowdfunding and will of course keep the interested community informed should we be able to mount any such campaign.
I AM DYING TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!! I'm not lying when I say that I would pay one hundred dollars for a shitty quality version of this documentary. And I would think that there would be tons of bonus scenes.
Lol...felt for JDB here. He obviously wanted to do a cool fan favourite live rarity for the video recording, but the other two were such miserable buggers (and in truth, probably don't even remember how to play them) :P Wire suggesting Tsunami because it's so easy :P In the end, I think Bradders decided the 'Further Away' suggestion was as rare a song as he was going to get them to do,even if it's not a favourite :P
Two years and counting...It's fucking pathetic that they don't just stick it online for us to enjoy. If someone hasn't given you the money to buy this yet, it's not happening. Be a good socialist and give it to us. Give it to the people.
@DarylJCheetham We need more than is feasible to raise through donations of a few quid here and there. Do you know anyone who might be interested in investing? We can provide a business plan.
James: "Ifwhiteamerica..."?
Sean: Oh fuck off!
That bit cracks me up!
Love that James was suggesting that they jam tracks from The Holy Bibly, I really wished they played more from that album live
Think they've got to the point now where they just can't play The Holy Bible stuff, even Faster.

Oh my God, I love them. I fucking love them as people - not just their music.
Sean is very under-rated drummer! He is the power behind the band.I love Manics so much and this is very funny and good to see! Thanks for posting it! Love James trying hard, Nicky sulking and being difficult, and Sean just starts bashing away brilliantly to get the song started.
James: La tristesse?
*Riff*
Nicky: Let's fucking call it a day.
Could watch them all day just sit around working on songs and discussing certain parts , gives you a true insight to their craft
Oh shit hi Dorian, I love your videos! Your Richey video from a couple months ago is what got me into the Manics!
That was good. So funny to see them randomly play it. There were a few errors and James forgot the notes in the solo !!!
Never ceases to amaze me how a video camera captures moments we would lose otherwise immediately.
James loves THB :D
Love that… and I bet James sat there til he remembered that solo 😂
Obviously Nicky was in a mellow mood, hence he suggested Tsunami and Further Away and James wants something aggressive to "clear the deck abit". =) Thanks for the upload!
James has the most amazing voice and is so underrated as a guitarist!1st class.Nicky just looks pissed off.
yup great guitar player
F U R T H A A A A A A A
Priceless! Made my day, thank you!
Oh I wish I'd of been there, I love the Manics so much and to watch them in a relaxed enviroment like that, even if they cant agree on a song, is just brilliant. hope the documentary gets released :)
@Partoftheratpack
Because we are still working on raising the money to release it.
I snuck out of a dead end job in greenwich village when I heard on the foreverdelayed board there would be a midday screening it a few blocks away from where i worked. Best decision I ever made. Nicky looks lovely and Sean's drumming is immense.
those guys are so funny, all the time,it's good to see they are happy together:)!!!
but Sean whata face:):):)
oh what I good time was this
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!
heh someone should do a youtube poop thing of sean doing that face and the 'fuck off' line with james's tonsil throttling 'furthaaAAA' on a 5 minute loop! Lol.

Jonny Red I am gonna do that for laughs
haha do it do it :)
Still coming back 🙂🙂

Wonder if James ever got that £200 from Nicky...

Love this version of the song
Thanks for the video. I was laughing so much!

gingerkk1 I've been a fan of them since I heard "Tolerate". Think I've only heard his voice maybe once or twice before, on the "Everything Live" video.

Always super 😊
Nick: Just play it gently like that.
JDB NAHHHHH
this is awesome! i really want to see this film!! apparantly it need funding to be released....i hope it gets it because i need to see this film!
Ah...Sean is so cute with that goofy face =)
This is what being in a band is really like - a million bucks or piss poor -
it all comes down to ...do you wanna play ???
No ....i dont -i want to get a sandwhich .
"I know lets play " ....NAH !!!!
Further away forgot how good that song was...
Nick is not a natural musician but it doesn't stop him from being creative af.
4:27 Nicky "Happy now ya bassa??"
At least James is trying to get them to play some THB songs! Moany Seanus! lol!
JDB just wanted to play a big riff!
@NoManifestoFilm may I ask how much? I'm just thinking a couple of quid from the people on the fansites, raising at concerts and even on youtube would tleast help towards it
Anyone got the Further Away version with all the "trills in the verses"?
Great vid!love to see behind the scenes vids like this,I can't see it being released sadly, footage is 4 years old now, can't the band & management help out?surely there's other ways to release it!?
Nicky suffers some kind of bassheimer
Basskinsons disease 😂😂😂😂😂
Cmon Nick! You know you wanna play Yes haha
@hyllaf We have investigated this possibility. Professional investors are looking for either philanthropic endeavours, or a potentially large return on the investment, and our film offers neither.
Why is this documentary unreleased??
@NoManifestoFilm Gutted, can't you get sponsorship through the band? or just charge people via preorders and send out dvd's, or doesn't it work like that?
why nicky shakes his head when james started singing? at 2:38
It seems like Nicky keeps getting his part wrong.
oh i see! thanks :) !!
I kinda thought it was because Nicky says "just play it gently" and then James launches full effort and Nicky's like oh no
Definitely because James is 'full on' haha
La tristaaaasa :P
Good effort Nicky! lol.

still waiting...
I AM DYING TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!! I'm not lying when I say that I would pay one hundred dollars for a shitty quality version of this documentary. And I would think that there would be tons of bonus scenes.
I dress like Sean Moore.
James won that £200.
@NoManifestoFilm how short r u? give me the details
@NoManifestoFilm out of interest, how much would you need? Im sure loads of people on here would be happy to donate
Lol...felt for JDB here. Yeah it is
@ReignBeauJo HAHAHHA thanks for pointing that out x
the manics shred
Jesus what was up with Nicky that day ? lol
forgot his own bass line lol classic
tired..
Best song on the record. In my opinion anyway.
I think it’s third for me, after No Surface All Feeling and Design for Life. But it’s tough
Yes fr. Amazing. Glad someone shares that opinion with me.
Go Buzz Baby Go
Pretty obvious that James controls that band and is the musical drive.
He's the enthusiastic music teacher lumbered with a couple of recalcitrant pupils doing detention.
Poor James and Sean.
Nicky didn't even want this album released...
@Mojopin 70 He just wanted to put out 4 singles but no 'Everything Must Go' LP?
it's the best song
Two years and counting...It's fucking pathetic that they don't just stick it online for us to enjoy. If someone hasn't given you the money to buy this yet, it's not happening. Be a good socialist and give it to us. Give it to the people.
Aww, they should have played PCP!

FurTHAAA!!!
That really hurt my ears!
Hungover Nicky
Vladimir: Ifwhiteamerica?
Estragon: Oh fuck off.
Ftp pud bah dah when I'm with you
I thought I was miserable till I got into this band lol there's always someone worse than you Xx
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THOSE PEOPLE?!
@PantheonLincoln his orange shirt is terrible haha.
How can Wire be playing such a hideous bass?
That bass player so unsparing.
He's the complete opposite...
miserable or what , get mad with ffs..This ain't the voice..
