I agree with you Lovesrichey. Once you like the Manic Street Preachers you really become a different person. It's not like those other bands that people claim to have 'changed their life', The Manics really bring some knowledge into your life and inspire you. I hate to be like the journalists, but they really were better with Richey. I'm glad Journal for Plague Lovers has the angry sound to it, because that's what the Manics are. They're pissed off, intelligent politicians.

the holy bible is decent but you all need to get some perspective. the manics' are not the best band in the world, not even one of the best british bands. decent lyrics shame about the music. try listening to the fall.
j0nnyism ..yep.. on a critical level regarding their songwriting it seems to me they would come up with some lyrics which they would then force onto a melody which was not suited to those lyrics. The result for me has always been clumsy.. like fitting the a golf gti body kit onto a ford fiesta. Yep you can drive the car but the result aint that special if you are into the detailing. Put simply.. oftentimes the words don't fit the tunes very well.. (doesn't really matter in the greater scheme of things really tho I spose).
