Oh my goodness! I subscribed the minute you pulled your yarn out of the fridge and your hooks out from under the rug!!! So funny! Thanks for making me smile!
I LOVE the vest, it looks so cool! very groovy, very you :) I liked this video, but part of me worries about the fact you were so anxious about getting a lot done in such a short time? crocheting is faster than knitting but it still takes a long time, and it's not a bad thing to mess up on something and for mistakes to be made. i don't know, i don't want to sound too preachy but i see a lot of fiber artists berate themselves for not getting more done in a short amount of time, and as someone who physically can't move very fast at all, it makes me worry about them (and you) and how you value your time and effort. everything you made was really really lovely! yeah they had a few mistakes and the knitted vest didn't work out as planned, but i still think it was worth doing and what you did make was very nice even if it didn't make it into the challenge. i think any time you spent creating something is time well spent, and its nice to have finished things that we like, but unfinished things or things we don't like have value too and the time you spent making them isn't wasted. i don't know, i'm not sure my point is getting across well, and i could be completely missing the mark here too; i just hope you know that taking a long time to make something, or making mistakes and being unhappy with something you made doesn't diminish the effort you put into it. creating something is still amazing and good regardless of how it turns out, and i really loved your creations (this video included!) i hope you had fun doing this at least, and i look forward to your next creations!
btw i don't mean this as a negative criticism nor am i trying to say you shouldn't do this kind of thing! I just want to try and make it known that your art is valued and appreciated cos i know it can be hard as a small artist on the internet, and these kinds of challenges hit particular spots of worry for me; please don't take this as not wanting to see you do it, especially if it brings you joy or you just want to try something new.
Thank you for your very lovely and thoughtful comment. I really do appreciate it! Also I totally get the concern about the desperate want for people to finish things as fast as possible. And I 100% agree with your thoughts on how just creating something is important (whether you finish it or not… or even wether it turns out nice or not 😄) I truly was only beating myself up about not having much done purely because I wanted to produce as much as I possibly could for you lovely people watching. (Also it was my only full day off of work that week, I didn’t want to waste the opportunity 😅) I’m honestly very happy with my results. But thanks for calling attention to that! Very valuable lesson to take. I’m glad you liked the video 💕 and don’t worry.. I had loads of fun!
New subscriber! I love how real you are, you're not trying to sell me anything or giving me unrealistic goals. And you show mistakes! I appreciate you, I can't wait to deep dive your channel!!
That’s my goal! I want to show the real me… besides I think showing mistakes can make for most entertaining parts in a video. This was honestly such a lovely comment. I appreciate YOU! Thank you for subscribing ❤️❤️
This was so fun to watch! You're brave for staying up all night. I haven't done that since college. You're also brave for using just a metal hook. My hands would be killing me. P.S Hi from a fellow crochet UA-camr! P.P.S Has anyone ever told you that you look like Kristin Stewart? I was thinking that the whole video
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it ❤️ Just checked out your channel and it’s fantastic! Subscribed 🙃 Haha I actually have been told that before. I think it’s quite funny.. I’ll take it as a compliment 😅
Hi there! New subbie here. I've never crocheted for 24 hours in a row. I love to watch other crocheters do marathon crochet sessions, though. You're doing great!
I like your vest. It reminds me of neon lights. I made granny square hand warmers last winter. I single crocheted around the top and bottom instead of ribbing. They’re less bulky and easier to wear while doing tasks. I’m pretty sure it took me a considerable amount of time. I didn’t mind because I was using up scraps. I’ve actually worn them even though I thought I wouldn’t. I think your balaclava would look good with denim.
That’s a lovely comparison, thank you x yes they’re quite versatile aren’t they?! I’ll have to make more for sure. I think so too.. I have a lovely denim jacket I could probably pair it with. Thanks for watching ❤️
Hey you should try crocheting a shawl! They are so pretty! I have made a few and I think making them with mandala yarn is best for it if you’re looking for thinner yarn! I would love to see you do a video on a shawl pattern or something ❤
Thank you for the suggestion, I’ve seen so many people make them and never thought to make one of my own. It’s a great idea! Don’t worry, sometime in the future I’m sure ❤️
@@lilolme6040 No rush I just made 2 more with Caron simply soft and I think it does a good job. I used Saturday blue jeans ombré color It works up beautifully! I also used a big twist twinkle yarn it’s a dark blue with a some sparkly tinsel in it!😃
