The film is fantastic - its about a small town girl that ends up going on her own honeymoon alone, the film is essentially her journey from being this overly dependent small town girl to a more confident, independent, free spirited girl. This film won many awards as in a male dominated industry like bollywood this film was symbolic of the changing mind sets in india with a female protagonist playing lead and the film still doing exceedingly well at box office. I think the film is relatable at many levels no matter who you are or where you are from, it essentially talks about acceptance, being okay with who you are and that no one is perfect but learn to love yourself for the way you are

A couple of interesting suggestions: Bombay Velvet and Raavan. Both movies had excellent directors, an excellent team, that put in a lot of effort, intelligence and $ to make them, but the movies just didn't work. But the trailers are very interesting and different. Lots of intelligent Hollywood references and inspiration. Someone Western would appreciate these movies MUCH better than we Indians did.
