Tomb Reaver was a sweat find and with 3 sockets ftw! I still do not even know how it dropped, according to Arreat Summit it is a ladder only item. Leviathan is listed as ladder only as well. So I have no explanation for how the game dropped me those, other than Arreat Summit is wrong. Ever since that dropped I have been hoping for Azurewrath!

Nice yo. I got a lvl 92 SP zealot. Currently using Azurewrath/LoH/CoA/CoH/dungos/highlords/exile zak/gores/2x ravens. (All legit self-found but I mf on my hdin and xfer over using third party software). I used heaven's light for a long time but found that azurewrath was a bit better overall, since most of the annoying physical immunes are undead. The magic/cold damage on it are enough to handle most non-undead phys immunes. I also keep a tyrant's limb on switch for AR bonus and about 100 fire dmg from enchanct. No mana steal, but i just pop a mana potion when i run into a mana burn mob, I find that natural regen can keep me going otherwise.
For enemies with physical immune you need Atma's scarab amulet, it has chances to cast the Amplifier skill, which you can kill easily the enemies with physical immune. You can get it in nightmare mode or hell if you have luck.
@@BuellNYC Great build! I have a Leviathan too, but I fcking hate it's color. Does it change if I put 1 Perf Ruby in it? Or Unique will never change it's color?
Hi :) What an awesome character! Do you have any advice how to level up and so on? I have really shitty gear on lvl 22. I have read the comments about how to utilise skills. But where i am right now in the game, it just seems very difficult - like i maybe have done something wrong. I played D2 earlier in my life, and i remember how hard the boss in act 2 was(can't remember his name). Should i try more magic find? My dmg is around 50-60 using zeal and right now just trying out the different offensive auras. Defence is around 160 and attack rating around 500. Is that low?
awesome build! I'm currently building a freezealot and like you all unhacked and pvm non ladder I just defeated nm for my first time and having some extreme difficulty in Hell... considering a new build with when I can knock out the den of evil with this guy he's only lvl 65 any hints for a real newb? I played years ago n just recently bought d2 again! how are you rocking multiple auras at once like that?
I'm not gonna lie. Getting through hell is, well, hell. There were times when I wanted to give up. You have to stick with it and if your build is viable the game will eventually reward you with better gear. If your build is not viable, the game will punish you severely and will not drop you what you need. You have to be able to kill mobs. Diablo is sadistic like that. As far as I know, there are only a handful of viable single player character builds. I researched my character before I set out building him. I remember around level 85 I was having trouble advancing, so I stayed in Act 3 killing mobs my character could handle without dying until I reached the next level. Basically I picked an area I was pretty safe in and grinded out a level. As long as you feel that you can level up with time alone, even if it is slow, that is a good sign. If you feel the next level is unattainable no matter how hard you work at it, I would recommend resting stat points with Den of Evil quest or Token of Absolution and redistributing stat/skill points based on an online guide. (remember a single player build is MUCH different than a ladder build). My Zealot's primary Auras are Fanatacism and I get Blessed Aim from the Nightmare Act Two Offensive Mercenary. On switch I have Exile Runeword in Zakuram Shield which adds level 15 Defiance Aura in addition to the two primary Auras. Don't expect to make exile till about level 90 =). The game just dropped me my first three socket chromatic vortex shield at level 94...
I cubed one of them, but I got Exile around level 89-90. I built this character a long time ago, but I put it up cause D2 seems to be making a come back.
What would you say Skill Point priority should be? For example I am a newb level 32 Zealot Pally, I have 16 into sacrifice, 4 into Zeal, 3 into Fanaticism, and 3 in Holy Shield, for an easier time in Nightmare which should I work on as a priority?
You should max out Fanaticism first and as fast as possible. Then Holy shield, sacrifice and zeal. Put all remaining points into defiance. Sacrifice will max before Zeal but do not neglect Zeal because you need the AR to hit stuff. Holy Shield can't be neglected too, gonna need the defense. Based on what you posted, at level 32, Zeal and Fanaticism should have more points in it. Nightmare should not be too hard, Hell is where the pain starts =)
Greg O Thank you very much, some of the few guides out there don't really tell you where to place stuff they just show how it should look at level 75 ish haha. Would it be worth resetting my points to respec them to put more into zeal and fanaticism or should I just let it ride out for now? My problem in Nightmare is some stuff I kill fast and fine others not and I'm still kind of squishy all combined haha.
Greg O Just wanted to say thanks for the tips again, I re-spect my character and have made my way into Hell at level 61, and it's Hell haha, but with two friends we made it into Act 2. If I could bug you for some advice again, I know what sort of end game gear to be looking for based off your build here, but for leveling and surviving Hell mode do you have some easier suggestions? I have a decent 3 socket white armor that I wanted to make into something better. In the meantime I thought about making the Smoke runeword for resists. I have a Rhyme shield made. And weapons in still using a single socketed one from Normal playthrough. Thanks for any help, this is my first time ever playing D2 but I'm hooked haha.
Bogini! No 'Heavens Cloud'??! Or Soul Reaver?? (Kris or Flamberge or Dimensional/Phase(Perfect!?) Swords! Maybe can find Rare(Yellow) item! ...I Have "Beast Reaver". Giant Axe" Though 😂😂😁😁
Yeah, I watched.. Really nice damage...... You know.. Im in nightmare lvl 40 act 2 and my pala really lack damage... Im using flail with black runeword, armor with smoke runeword, helm with lore runeword and shield with rhyme runeword... and my dps is just 300..... What do you suggest me to do?
The problem with flails is the low min damage. You can literally hit a monster for like 3 damage consecutively. The best weapons for a melee zealot are going to have high min damage. At your level, you're better off with a unique scepter, mace, sword, etc. Even just a regular yellow magic weapon is going to be more useful if it has a high min damage and some useful specs. I picked up the Fetid Sprinkler in ACT 5 nightmare in the Halls of Pain, if I remember correctly. When your character gets to high levels you are going to want high min damage, max attack speed, DS and CB. Highlords Wrath, Goreriders or Goblin Toes, and G-Face combined with like Heaven's Light or any Unique/Elite Paladin scepter, mace, sword, etc. is nasty.
I saved a name quest from a lower difficulty. I was saving the item naming till I had something I really liked, but the game seems to not like that and almost punishes you for not taking your reward (D2 is diabolical like that). While trying to level up in Hell, shortly after using the name reward from Nightmare on Griswald's Heart (I was sure that was the best armor the game would drop me), the game dropped me the Leviathan followed by Heaven's Light not too far after. The personalized Gore Riders are still there because I'm all about the CB and DS. I forgot what I used the third naming quest on, it's gone whatever it was. The worst story was with my Merc. I had Guillame's, a heavy duty armor (forgot what it was) and a 2 socket Bonehew on him. I went to rehire after he had died and ended up hiring a new Merc in an unfortunate series of clicks. I was FURIOUS, I didn't play the game for a solid week. But then Tomb Reaver Dropped with 3 sockets and all was well again =). IMO Tomb Reaver >> Bonehew.
lol, there is no way I could record every moment of game play to catch all the drops. I would have 4 hard drives worth of videos for like 40 seconds worth of drops. Rest assured I do not use third party software or cheats. This character is a hobby of mine that I have had for quite some time. If you are willing to put in the effort the game will drop you some nice things. BTW I just posted video of him at level 94 with some new gear.... check out the link in the video.
No, I was talking about not having uber runewords available nor the ability to buy/trade high end runes, no Ani, no Hellfire, etc. Yes, my character can kill on 8 players but without all those items that can be obtained on Battle.net playing Ladder, it is extremely difficult to build a character than can absolutely annihilate 8 player game play. The best I could hope for would be BotD in an eth berserker, chains of honor, a HoZ, socket in my Guily.... but to cube up to or find a Zod, find a SOJ and a six socket eth zerker will take a VERY long time and much patience and obviously I will never obtain an Anni or Hellfire in single player offline mode so the character will always be lacking that... I play single player offline because I obtained all the items from farming and I put together the best build I could within the limitations of single player offline. It takes time and it is challenging, but it is my hobby and I enjoy it.... It is not fair to compare my character with one that was built on Ladder. But like I said, my character CAN kill on 8 player, especially now that I found Highlords, LoH, and I made Chains of Honor in a superior Diamond Mail. I may post of video of how he does on 8 player, so stay tuned.....

You can get to around level 12-15 on zeal and then catch up with sacrifice.
4lvl of Zeal is enough for max hit count. Then max Sacrifice, because damage from it grows faster.
