Toroni is one of the most popular tourist destinations on Sithonia, the second pensiula of Chalkidiki. It is mostly visited by families with smaller children because it's a very peaceful place with no crowd, with gradual entry into the see, sandy beach and with rare waves.
The beach in Toroni is a few kilometers long, and with small interruptions of a few hundred meters or more it's continued by other beaches, such as Destenika, Tristinika, Aretes.
The city beach is sandy, but not fine sandy, the sand is actually the size of rice grains. This type of sand doesn't rise so the water is always completely clear.
The beach is oriented to the west, so the sunsets are magnificant. On July the sun goes down aroun 8.30 p.m. so you may fully use the day on the beach.
Parts of the beach are organised with sunbeds and cafes on the beach, but there are also parts complitely free to be used by the visitors. Showers are available as well as the lifeguards.

Sitonija je predivna. Plaza kakvih hocete i koliko hocete. 3 puta smo bili na Sitoniji i mislim da nismo obisli ni polovinu plaza. Sad imam problem,sve sto gledam ( a da nisu juzna grcka ostrva) nije mi dovoljno primamljivo. Deca hoce ponovo u Sarti ili kako oni kazu NASE MORE.
