Hell of a coach 👏 At least you're not sugar coating what's about to come your way saturday night. Hope the kids enjoy the experience and come out injury free.

The young are going to have growing pains! Two Texas sized doses of character building early this year. Going undefeated after that is not impossible if the team develops their identity out of it. Interested to see Traylor endure his toughest coaching test. The Jesus piece shines nice on the video btw coach Traylor! ✝️🙌🏈

Y’all need to ask him what he thinks about Texas State players laying down after a big play and UTSA has momentum going.

All aspects of the runner's game have plenty of room for improvement. Practice Practice Practice. Get ready for conference play. Consider non-conference play as preseason. I have faith this team will improve as the season advances.

I don't think blaming the defense is the answer....

Why not? They were out of position and missing tackles. This is football not tennis.

10 points doesn't win football games. Also the offense and punting game kept putting them in bad positions. The first drive of the game the defense had an interception and set up the offense in good position.
I'm not saying the defense played well but to open up the commentary blaming the defense just doesn't seem like the correct reflection of events.

@@winstonwolf3982 I agree with 10 points but the truth is the D was totally schooled that day. They looked loss on the field. And too many missed tackles for long gains and scores. Getting scored on that fast makes to offense have to play catch up so play calling changes(which was still bad by the OC). The O line is just as bad and responsible for the loss as well.

The whole team was schooled. Also I think the OC put himself in the position. The defense got the opening interception and then we get stopped on 4th down with 0 points. Then TXST marches all the way down the field but our defense holds and stops them on 4th and goal.
Again, I'm not saying the defense played well and I really do love Jeff as a coach but in 2 interviews since the game he opens it by saying he thought the defense would hold better. I just think that's placing way too much of the blame on them when they were the only group that gave us a chance early. The offense looked horrible first, then special teams, then the defense started to fold last. Certainly by time we get to the 2nd qtr the defense falls apart but there was so much that went wrong. If Jeff was really pinning all his hopes on the defense I don't think it was ever going to be a recipe for success. The offense has to be a lot better. We needed to score 30+ to be competitive and we scored 3 in the whole first half.

@@winstonwolf3982 the D took a 49 point butt whippin. Go back and watch the plays they missed tackles, were out of position after the pic… the game is 4 quarters not 4 possessions..

The audio from interviewer is so low, you cant hear questions asked to Coach Traylor. Too much pressure on defense, they were being run to ground because offense wasn't able to execute, you have an offense that needs extra coaching, Owen is pretty good but he seem to panick and throw, figure out the run. Try some magical runs with UT. Defense needs to be more aggressive, I didn't much rushing to tx state QB. The punter/kicker what is the deal, ball was not kicked far down field, so tx state always had field advantage.

Why still a 3 man defensive front? Why not go 4 on the floor?
