By the way, I also have the same bad habit of cutting the files instead of copying. In fact, one even more bad habit is to Shift + Delete files so that the files don't go to bin 😂😂😂😅😅😅
This data card error in disk is poetic story of all home computer users. Really it has happened to me many times before I installed UPS with capability of running computer for 7 hrs. Now there is no disk error problems. Thank you sir

As you know, all my Marathwada data from Feb 2023 also got lost thanks to a corrupted drive, I made the mistake of cutting and pasting my files into the drive. I should've copied them and left them in my SD card in case of data loss. I was really disappointed...anyways, I haven't recovered that yet.

Thankfully you have recovered all files. Mine too lot of data in SDCard/pen drive went corrupt as I don't have even pc/laptop to store copy. It heartbreaks.

There are many fail safe options like ups, nas drive, online backup to safeguard your data. I can help you with online backup if you want , we have high speed fiber which is good enough to upload hundreds of GBs in a few mins.
i've also lost progress on stuff due to power outages, but never on this scale. Losing any of the train videos i have taken would be so heartbreaking for me. I would have had a huge mental breakdown.
I would suggest you to install an inverter for your workstation. So that even during a power outage your work js uninterrupted

Also put all videos in drives like google drive.. its free for some usage but you dont know when your harddisk will fail. So better keep a version in drive
My single trip itself will have 100 Gb + of data so google drive not a choice for me as its out of my budget range

Cost is high for me as well. I dont earn much from UA-cam. I had zero earnings last month as I had not posted any videos on this channel. This trip was very special hence i decided to send my saved money.
