He will never accept that he made a lousy movie based on a successful property. He will die on that hill, convinced it was someone else's fault. It's kind of hilarious and a little bit said considering how many times over the years a defender of the film has accused me of letting Ghostbusters 2016 live rent-free in my head.
Ghostbusters was intended to be a franchise, within it's own Universe. That's what I always wanted to see! Ghostbusters locations popping up all over America, and internationally! Make any kind of Ghostbusters movie you want! Just give a nod to the home office!
The newest teen Ghostbusters entry now makes that possible, not only as a business franchise within the universe, but they also opened the door to different KINDS of Ghostbusters THROUGHOUT TIME (past, present and future).
The Ghostbuster film was supposed to be his break into Hollywood proper. No wonder he can't take it that it got rejected pretty HARD by the public. Maybe, if he had made something GENUINELY authentic to the brand, it might have turned out differently?
I can’t even remember that quote from Trump about Ghostbusters. I actually wasn’t paying attention to politics in 2016, believe it or not. However, when the politics became undeniable in movies like The Last Jedi and Captain Marvel, I couldn’t help but notice. Your channel helped me understand what was going on. If nothing else, you assured me I wasn’t crazy.
I am tiered of hearing about Feig or anyone compelling about the 2016 ghostbuster flick flopping. it's been dame near a decade and 2 more ghostbusters(proper continuations of the original) have been made/reassessed. 2016 came and went, now move on.
It's always depressing watching people responsible for the exchange of millions upon millions of dollars into what amounts to vanity projects make embarrassingly cringe excuses for repeated, abject failure. For the vast majority of us, try and imagine how decimated your entire life would be if you misappropriated only a single-digit percentage of the wealth that went into these movies.
Thanks for including the news articles with visible dates. It really does help to put it into context and show that Feig was A-OK with ideopolitical messaging and insulting anyone who disagreed, he just seems to not think that people should be allowed to respond in kind.
I argue the opposite of Paul Feig. I would say that his Ghostbusters movie is partially responsible for Trump getting elected. There was a massive anti-woke movement as a result of the movie, which didn't do Hillary Clinton any favors.
What I found weird is as much as I hate Leslie Jones, Fieg wrote her as one of the most stereotypical racial characters and yet she didn't complain about that.🤷🏿♂️
There are many traits a professional exhibits. Many traits we develop as adults as well. Integrity. Calmness. Rationality. Tolerance. Maturity. Feig is not known for displaying a single one of these traits.
He made a film that flopped, a film that nobody asked for and nobody wanted, he needs to get over and move on. Blame Donald Trump? You can blame Trump for a lot but Paul Feige owns this one.
Agreed. It was a bad film. Everyone involved knew it was a bad film. It became political when they knew it would bomb and needed to save face - it was a cynical move to explain why a terrible film was made by a terrible director and piss poor cast who badly ad-libbed the entore film.

Notice how it's never them at fault. It's always somebody else's fault (the fans, trump, men, covid, streaming services, etc). They'll blame everything under the sun before admitting they just made a bad movie/show
He will never accept that he made a lousy movie based on a successful property. He will die on that hill, convinced it was someone else's fault. It's kind of hilarious and a little bit said considering how many times over the years a defender of the film has accused me of letting Ghostbusters 2016 live rent-free in my head.
I love these fast takes!
We didn't want to see anything but the original continuation!
paul feig shoudl have the words "I'm sorry" tattooed on his backsides
BWAHAHAHAHAH! I haven't even watched this yet and I'm already laughing at Feig's stupidity!
The best thing to come out of Ghost busters 2016 was Plinkett's review
Feig is acting exactly like a sour ex expressing who's been living in his head rent free eight years later and the ex doesn't remember who you are.
@@sigmacademy Okay I need to watch Frozen Empire.
Impressive - just checked Feig's IMDB. Albeit he is working as a producer, his director career tanked hard.
I live south of the border, not a Trump support and still didnt saw the movie.
Trump lost the popular vote, so there comes a point where it must be admitted that even Hillary voters did not like it.
They’ll fly you directly into the sun lol
Thank you.
Thanks for including the news articles with visible dates. It really does help to put it into context and show that Feig was A-OK with ideopolitical messaging and insulting anyone who disagreed, he just seems to not think that people should be allowed to respond in kind.
😂 Trump can be blamed for a lot of things but DEFINITELY not the girls Ghostbusters😂
Ghostbusters 2016 has an awful script and a barrage of atrocious ad-libs. Feig is to blame for that, no one else.
I argue the opposite of Paul Feig. I would say that his Ghostbusters movie is partially responsible for Trump getting elected. There was a massive anti-woke movement as a result of the movie, which didn't do Hillary Clinton any favors.
Hypocrites never see their own hypocrisy !!
Wow. These people have a lot of ways to call us stupid.
It's trumps fault we didn't understand their genius.
This person us delusional.
8 years later he can't move on. Yeah, Feig, Trump made your move flop ALL OVER THE WORLD, for sure...
When this bombed I thought we were at peak w__k how wrong I was. It scares me how much worse it could get
Someone: Exists.
These People: "And I took that politically!"
He needs to let it go.
I remember this. I remember how crazy and stupid the whole thing was. Good times.
What I found weird is as much as I hate Leslie Jones, Fieg wrote her as one of the most stereotypical racial characters and yet she didn't complain about that.🤷🏿♂️
Talk about a scar on the Ego.
Feig cannot accept his mistake, which makes.him even more of a loser.
We all moved on, why can't they? It's like we don't think about it and then they bring it back up again.
I was going to go see Ghostbusters 2016... but then I voted for Donald Trump.
I can't wait to vote for Trump again and never watch this shitshow.
Well, he must be very confused every morning after he gets up and goes to the bathroom and afterwards there's something stinky in there, too.
I'm no trump fan or supporter in any way however this excuse for feig's ghostbusters fail is truly pathetic
I've yet to make it though this movie and probably never will.
I forgot that was even a thing.
the only good thing about Ghostbusters 2016 is that it introduced me to this channel :)
Feig just can't get it through his head that his lame Ghostbusters wannabe film was utterly Awful.
Paul continues to be a petty, insecure director who can't handle his Ghostbusters movie wasn't good and blaming others won't change that fact.
They did themselves no favors in how the promoted the film.
It just shows that after all these years this failure still eats him up inside. His suffering not mine.
They tasted reality, and it broke them.
The internet can't let this go any more than Feig can.
Agreed. It was a bad film. Everyone involved knew it was a bad film. It became political when they knew it would bomb and needed to save face - it was a cynical move to explain why a terrible film was made by a terrible director and piss poor cast who badly ad-libbed the entore film.
Trump 🇺🇲 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
