Hello, look for the song Alfonsina y el mar sung by Mercedes Sosa. It´s about a poet (Alfonsina Storni) who commits suicide by entering the sea. It´s the most beautiful thing you will hear.
This are the lyrics in english, here you can see way she seemed to feel so much the words of the song as she sang, there is a lot of wisdom in them, this are very beautiful thoughts expressed through the song. Thanks to life Thanks to life, which has given me so much. It gave me two beams of light, and when I open them, I perfectly distinguish black from white And in the sky above, and its starry background, And from within the multitude, the man I love. Thanks to life, which has given me so much. It gave me an ear that, in all of its width Records- night and day-crickets and canaries, Hammers and turbines and bricks and storms, And the tender voice of my beloved. Thanks to life, which has given me so much. It gave me sound and the alphabet. With them the words that I think and declare: "Mother," "Friend," "Brother" and the light shining the route of the soul of which I am loving. Thanks to life, which has given me so much. It gave me the ability to walk with my tired feet. With them I have traversed cities and puddles Valleys and deserts, mountains and plains. And your house, your street and your patio. Thanks to life, which has given me so much. gave me the heart that shakes its frame When I see the fruit of the human brain, When I see good so far from bad, When I see within the clarity of your eyes... [this line reminds me of your beautiful eyes ;) ] Thanks to life, which has given me so much. This song is like a prayer. The vocal and corporal interpretation is all about the lyrics. The dynamics of the voice accompany the prayer, and the letter the historical moment in which it was composed. Sometimes it is difficult to understand just by looking at the voice. For us Latinos, this music and interpretation is chilling, even if we have heard it hundreds of times.

Such a haunting song.! Gracias a la vida was written/sung originLly by Violetta Parra, a chilnean 'new folk' singer in the 60s . Her french love ran away for a Peruvian woman . Parra was broken en depressed . In that period sge wrote this zong. A little latter she shot her self at a second attempt .....😢 To write this when so down ...incredible ...

Cuando me imagino a la Pachamama inmediatamente se me viene la cara de Mercedes Sosa, a pesar de ser Argentino no tuve el honor de conocerla. Hermosa interpretación, voz y persona.
Mercedes Sosa was a singer of Argentine folk music, considered the greatest exponent of Argentine folklore. She was known as The Voice of Latin America, founder of the New Songbook Movement and one of the exponents of the New Latin American song. He played great poets and carried the emblem of freedom around the world. Thanks for this reaction.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU REACTED TO THIS!!! I don't know what it is about this song - the beauty of the translated lyrics, her aching, sweet soulful performance... but it is an easy way to get me to tears. BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much for showing some love...may need to do my own cover ;)
When Mercedes Sosa died some newspapers in the world titled: "the voice of Latin America was extinguished" That was her: "LA VOZ", (the voice) Someone once said: if Latin America were a woman; she would look like Mercedes; she would sound like Mercedes. For me she was like the incarnation of "PACHAMAMA"; deity of the Andean peoples that represents Mother Earth. The sweetness and depth of the timbre of his voice is mesmerizing. His voice seems infinite flow. My mother said: "she is incredible; she does not make the slightest effort, she will only open her mouth and the magic comes out" You must listen to more songs from her. His repertoire is beautiful; It includes the best poets in Latin America. Greetings from Argentina.
Concuerdo con vos! siempre que pienso en como serÍa el rostro de la madre naturaleza (la PACHAMAMA) la cara de La negra aparece en mi mente! toda latinoamérica lloró cuando ella murió. Siempre lloro cuando la escucho! I agree with you! Whenever I think about how the face of Mother Nature (PACHAMAMA) would be, the face of La negra (the loving nickname of Mercedes) appears in my mind! all of Latin America cried when she died.
Thanx for reacting to one of the most beautiful folk voices of my country.

A Chilean song written by the Queen in the most talented music family in chile, interpreted by an absolute Argentinian Legend.
This song is the spirit of South America
Such a haunting song.! Gracias a la vida was written/sung originLly by Violetta Parra, a chilnean 'new folk' singer in the 60s . Her french love ran away for a Peruvian woman . Parra was broken en depressed . In that period sge wrote this zong. A little latter she shot her self at a second attempt .....😢
To write this when so down ...incredible ...
These reacting videos are really nice. A really nice song that I think you should react to since I dont see it in ur playlists is Unchained Melody when its performed live by The Righteous Brothers. The performance is insanely good and the singer has immense skill.
Hello, Rebecca.
I loved your reaction to Mercedes Sosa. I'm from Argentina and in here she's a total Goddess.
I would like to recommend you another of our most beloved artists, Lolita Torres. I'm certain that you'll absolutely love her work. I've been looking for some reactions to her songs on UA-cam and I couldn't find any. I guess you're gonna love 'Caminito soleado' sung by Lolita.
Kisses.
I love your channel.
life is beautiful and worth living!! 😊❤

You reallly surprised me with this video!!! I love Mercedes and now I love you!!!!!!!! I´m waiting for a PJ Harvey reaction video.
I never thought of her as Pachamama, but that's true, she looks like what one would think mother earth would look like.
It´s amazing! Mercedes Sosa!. Greetings from argentine.
Mercedes un aplauso más para vos 👏
