    A minute ago I was complaining about how life wasn't going my way and how hard life was and I was crying to God and all. Then I saw this. I feel like this is God's response to me, and even if He responded to me by using you(because you made the video and all, and also THANK YOU) to tell me this things, I didn't feel like He was calling me out for being a bad person and for complaining. Many people treat me like I'm a monster when I make mistakes, but the way God rebuked me felt so loving and gentle, yet firm. Romans 8:31-39 touched me so much. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO

    I noticed you didnt touch on this in Romans 8 but maybe you could next week in the Q&A. Could you explain Romans 8:29-30? Is the Bible saying God chose who to be saved? But didnt Jesus die for everyone, not just the "elect"? How does all that predestination work??

      I've always taken it to mean that God knows who will ultimately come to Him and who won't. It's more about God being all knowing and less about picking and choosing.

    The boxing part is SO true. I see it everyday. Sin and God's spirit fighting inside a persons life, in the world, ect.. If you get what I mean.

    I have eagerly and faithfully watch your videos for the last two years or so, but I gotta say Jon...while there isn't anything you make I don't like, consistently ADITW is my favorite!! I so love the uplifting messages you bring out of the books you study through and this one was just absolutely AMAZING!!
    But I have to ask - did you say FRUITS of the Spirit?? I seem to remember some 7 minute sermon from somewhere saying that they were FRUIT of the spirit, like different variations and angles of the same singular thing! Haha. ;)

    I had a really hard time not thinking about boxing because of your reference. It's kind of infuriating when such an unChristian thing as boxing is used in Bible study. Boxing is pure fighting. It is impossible to bring glory to God through boxing.

      Whhhhaaaaat... Boxing is consensual fighting ... Their is not supposed to be animosity between boxers... All the great boxers hug before and after. They lift each other up. It is a sport. Where individuals , typically men, agree to pummel each other. I understand it is not everyone's cup of tea BUt as an armature fighter, not a boxer but an amateur fighter I have had many good fights with friends whom I trusted. I trusted them above all(save the one) .... Because when I say stop its over you have bested me , that trust must be there. THey are close and dear trust worthy friends. And boxing is like that. too.... IT is trust.... BUt that's me that's how I feel about it having been in many consensual fights....saying that, I say this, nothing breaks my heart more than a non consensual fight. When their is a conflict and it is not resolved by words and someone resorts to non consensual violence... It hurts me deeply and emotionally.. much worse than any punch

    • @BryanLeeWilliams
      @BryanLeeWilliams 7 років тому

      I believe that it teaches children that violence is okay. But violence is never the answer in my opinion, so consensual fighting is not a good way to have a contest.
      I also would point out that people can be seriously and long-termed injured through the rules of boxing. Even without breaking the rules, many boxers get concussions and other injuries. Any "sport" where a player commonly gets hurt when all players follow the rules is not a "sport" but socially justified violence.

      @sageseraphim6720 7 років тому +1

      Bryan Lee Williams It is a sport. You can get injured from doing a billion different things. Sure the rules aren't perfect. We know for a fact football rules have to be changed. But it isn't sinful as long as they are doing it respectfully and lovingly. Violence is an answer in many circumstances. For instance war is very violent yet is necessary in certain cases to protect the weak. Jesus Christ dying on the cross is very violent yet necessary. God judging everyone is very violent yet is necessary to fulfill justice. Also I see the symbol of the noahic covenant in your background! Just kidding, but read your bible. Gay marriage is a very sinful thing to do.
