Excellent video. Just what I needed to try to make a short connection due to a delay.

This video just helped me decide to spend the additional money to fly Delta and have access to their Club vs walking from T6 for the Amex Lounge. Thank you for posting!

This video is helping me figure out how far the Amex Centurion lounge is to T5. Such a walk (in reverse of the video).

This video was incredibly helpful - I used it as a guide yesterday and got from my domestic arrival in T7 to my connecting international flight at TBIT in 20 minutes, no fuss. I wasn't sure if I'd need to go through security at any point, but I guess because I stayed airside the whole time, I didn't. Thank you, this was immensely helpful.

Thanks for this. I have a 1hr layover from Terminal 5 to TBIT - Its going to be a sprint, but your walkthrough definitely helps.

There's also the Bradley West gates to walk to. Once the connecting bridge is finished on the North side, you'll be able to walk airside to those terminals too. Maybe then, do a future video of walking the entire terminal loop airside. That will be one big workout to burn even more calories.

Oh I totally need to try walking that once it’s finished. Great way to work in some extra steps.

You’re certainly walking off the lounge calories with this trek. 😆

Thanks, this was useful. I have a flight departing from Terminal 7 and I was wondering whether I could go to the TBIT to use the Star Alliance Lounge. Looks like it is possible! Just need to give myself enough time to do the walk.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching. I’ve done that a few times on flights back to Canada and enjoy that star alliance international lounge and the terrace.

This was a great walkthrough! We're flying into T6 (Alaska) and then switching to Cathay Pacific. I'm assuming we need to go through security again at TB since it's a different airline and they need to check passports, but wanted to double check.

I never thought of that since I don't think I've ever done a same day connection arriving at LAX and transferring to an international flight. Coming into LAX from Canada we do preclearance in Toronto so arrive the same as a domestic USA passenger. You can walk to TBIT and may actually not need to go thru security again if you take the tunnels and stay airside. However someone will need to check your passport for sure whether it's at the gate or you may need to see some airport agent at a counter somewhere. They also have some agents from the airlines in the Star Alliance lounge if you have access to that. Not sure what happens to your luggage but you can check at check-in if they can transfer it to your connection. Having said all of this I hope to publish another walking video soon arriving on an international flight with walking directions to other terminals or outside. Thanks for watching and for your feedback!

Theoretically now all the Terminals and the TBIT (International Terminal) are now connected post Security so you will be able to get to the TBIT and new Mid-Satellite Terminal without going through Security.

I have 2 hours transit in LAX to SFO in July coming from Australia. Google search tells me that the timeframe is pushing too hard as I need to clear immigration and customs as a non-resident. I'm looking at this in reverse. Hoping you can do a vid from terminal B to 6 one day. Thanks!

    • @CarRentalGuy
      @CarRentalGuy  Рік тому

Yes you’ll have to clear immigrations and customs. It’s been a long time since I’ve done this. But I think someone else commented on one of these videos saying after clearing customs you’ll end up in TBIT the arrivals or departures hall. From there depending on your airline you’ll need to get to that terminal and clear security. If the terminal is nearby you can just walk outside or I believe there is a shuttle that goes between gates. Next time I do an international arrival at LAX I’ll be sure to a video of this! Good luck!

Ah just reading your comment again. Ok from terminal B (TBIT) it’s only a 10 minute walk outside to terminal 6 (United). Once you exit customs and exit terminal B. Walk outside 10 minutes down to terminal 6 and clear security and head to your gate. The first digit of your gate number will match the terminal. Example Gate 61. Good luck. You can see the actual walk outside on google maps.

How much time do u need just to get there at terminal 6 terminal b? I'm afraid, coz I only have 2hrs and 14min which I need to claim my luggage to get to the terminal b to check in again.

For sure it's a bit of a hike if you decide to walk. Another option is the shuttle bus outside that loops around all of the different terminals. Have a great trip to Australia!

I call that tunnel "the dungeon" because it feels like a prison and you're walking the last mile to the gas chamber.

@@CarRentalGuy Tight small sitting spaces, food on the bar at 2pm looked like it was last weeks leftovers and small men's restroom that I had to wait inline to get in.
