In the video you explain the dewpoint as 'the higher the dewpoint, the more moisture is in the air'..
I thought that moisture is rising if the actual temperature comes closer to the dewpoint

The dewpoint is where the relative humidity reaches 100%. Above that the relative humidity decreases (warmer air can contain more moisture). The absolute humidity stays the same however. So he's right when he said that the higher your dewpoint the higher your moisture level.
