I feel like the idea was that tiamat would kill this world and rule its remains while tehom would just bring everything back to the void in a way that nothing would remain
Tehom may be the single scariest thing in the smt universe. Every other higher being (Kagutsuchi and Lucifer as examples of what kind of scale we're on) actively gets their ass beaten by the protagonist and either adnits defeat or straight up dies. But Tehom just peaces out as if you did nothing to her. Not to mention that we don't know what her goals are. She could be an observer to the world, plotting to devour it or something else entirely and we'll never know. Probably my favorite boss because of all this.
Nope, they did get slayed, tye reason it went back into the void, it's because that's what tehom is lol. Tehom is the embodiment of Kather before the God of law created the universe. It's nothing in comparison to matter lucifer, Primal Satan, the great will, or the axiom.
@@kennethlatorre5269 Wrong. Tehom, literally, wasn't killed. It didn't even had Magatsuhi leaking, as every demon you kill has. She simply went back to the abyss. And meh TGW and Axiom, noncombatants that rely on avatars.
@@brtruev1710 The fact that the Axiom has to use avatars to even interact with the characters (Maruki and Stephen) shows that they're just a cut above the rest. You essentially fight The Great Will in SMTIVA when you go up to "YHVH's Universe" which is a void above The Atziluth but is entirely inferior to The Axiom which exists entirely outside the Tree of Life with the Tree of Life being only a infinitesimal structure imbedded within it. Tehom did not die either and is simply residing in a void that I assume also exists outside the Tree of Life that represents the anti-thesis of creation and existence.

Yoko's last stand. Tehom could've been the new final boss but due to the way the routes are set, the Chaos route would've gotten less technically. Tehom itself is more of an abstract concept (the word just means Abyss and is used to refer to the primal void before God made the world) but it works great, since Yoko has gone off the deep end both literally and figuratively in the narrative.
Not just a void but the primordial ocean When god divided the sky and the ocean during the creation of the earth he was actually creating the firmament to keep the primordial ocean (tehom) away and early abrahamic schoolars though that tehom still existed circulating both the earth and the heavens That might actually be the place lucifer takes you during his boss fight
@@jaffinator2166 that's debatable. M's Revelation is nice, but (her and) deepest void feels more like a conclusion. Due to having Yoko's leitmotif, it's like the overaching story is finally reaching the end.

If you're struggling with this boss, if you keep getting hit with Dekundas and Dekajas and her signature Almighty Drain, the trick to manipulating her AI is that she'll hit you with a -barion of whatever element you used last. Each turn, make sure to hit her with at least one element she's still weak to, and she'll cast that element instead of her nastier skills. (You can even use attack items, and nuke her with mainly Almighty damage demons. Knowledge Of Tools is busted strong). As her phases progress she'll start throwing in Physical and Almighty skills too, but not ones as nasty as her hasn't-been-hit AI. As for her Magatsuhi Skill, since it's Almighty you can't do the normal strategy of using a Block skill or a Dampener item. Consider giving the Nahobino his Kanabi Veil skill. Reducing that incoming damage makes it much easier to survive. Especially if you happen to bring a demon too weak to tank it, even buffed and blocking... ouch.
Or, instead of Kannabi Veil, have a Herald (Metatron, the four archangels, etc.) in your active party for the Magatsuhi skill Shield of God so you don't waste a turn (just need to have the gauge filled up) and don't take up a skill slot in the Nahobino's skill set. It's pretty much a better version of Kannabi Veil and reduces damage by 90% instead of 25%.
Oh my god, thank you. I kept getting Dekunda/Dekajad and that fucking Abyssal Reckoning made my demons almost immediately useless. Meaning whenever I got to ~25% Health (which took forever because no buffs) I end up with a stock that has 0 MP and slowly lose. Watching this video out of frustration almost made me scream at the monitor why Tehom isn't spamming those moves like he does against me, but your explanation made sense and that was my best guess as to how its AI works. Not really a hard fight, honestly. The only real thing that can catch you out is her Magatsuhi skill (which hurts _a lot_ and will out and out kill you if you aren't guarding with full buffs/debuffs set). Aside from that she's just a typical Barion-skill spammer. She's got every elememt under the sun but she doesn't have any smart targeting so she very frequently attacks into nulls or repels. The only other annoyance factor is her passive, but even that can be kind of ignored if you go for physical damage. Oh, and on Godborn, I swear she's got the highest health out of any boss besides the superbosses. Got like several hundred thousand HP. Annoying but not dangerous. Just makes it a protracted fight. She's also got her other signature but both times I fought her she never used it. She also only used her Magatsuhi skill once, and Dekunda only once per fight too.
For Phys build enjoyers who have been figment slashing all previous bosses like butter: use items to exploit her weakness at least once per turn, otherwise she'll drain your MP like there's no tomorrow 🤡
@@ivanaugustobd I learned that the hard way. Turns out her AI uses skills depending on what you hit her with. Don't hit her with skills and just try to buff up and she'll spam the sweet merciful YHVH out of the Dek-skills, her other signature and sometimes Megidolaon.
I agree. She may have tons more health than any superboss, but in the end, she's not much of a threat. Just need to make sure you prepare yourself for the Inception of Chaos, Hence, Luminescent Mirage, and make all of your demons retreat (or guard) until the next turn.
