I love Spidey's reaction. He immediately picks up on what he was just hit by and just goes "call me when you spring your plan. I'll be there." Peter knows Tony wouldn't just create something to explicitly bypass his spider-sense. Nothing he does is ever that single-minded. So that metal has to have a host of other properties he already tested. And to do it in such a cloak and dagger fashion means he's about to hatch a plan that will shake the superhero landscape - and he will need any help he can get.
Iron man will need the Spidey sense on his side for whatever he is planning. Even if iron man can bypass it an advance warning for danger is incredibly useful.
I mean nah Tony 100% does make specific suits to bypass or counter specific enemies. That's like half of his suits even. Peter had good reason to trust him but not for that reason.
@@Pragabond He only does it if he's specifically threatened by that person, and usually it's either versatile enough to work for a range of uses or just one part of a larger system. Even his Buster series are usually just variants of his typical tech with maybe 1-2 extra systems and min-maxed to better deal with the respective enemy.
He doesn't go full Batman paranoia and sets up one singular weapon against each of his friends, specifically geared to exploit one extremely individual trait. Tony is more of a fan of the first rule of warfare: "If brute force doesn't work, you're just not using enough of it."
In the case of Spider-Man I'd rather see a suit with anti-webbing chemicals and automated point-defense systems to counter his agility. Much easier (and cheaper) than finding something to counter his Spider-Sense specifically and can be re-used against other slippery opponents (just changing out the chems). While he'd be pretty much untouchable for Peter, he just needs to put enough pressure on him where even knowing of the danger won't help him.
The way he's testing this metal reminds me of when the Justice League built that armor for Batman.
To be honest Ironman build a few suit that are way more powerful then the hellbat suit.
I love the rain effect when he’s talking to Spider-Man. Felt immersive and peaceful!
The fact they made it go through spider-sense is insane. Like for showcasing the metal its great and it was hilarious. But if its really that amazing Marvel will probably use it again which means they just introduced a cannon kryptonite too spidermans strongest power and made it indisputable. Unless they make this as rare as something like Nth medal and only have tony use this like the hellbat suit spiderman is in serious trouble💀
This stuff can't remain, it's gotta be written out at this point. The Spider Sense being casually nerfed like that is not very good for future stories.

I don't know science, but for a metal that cannot bend, magic immunity, and goes through Spider senses, it must have an extremely high melting point which wouldn't be surprising feat for Stark to do.
or the the heat conductive properties are so good its hard for to actually heat up past ambient temperature.

you actually WANT metal to bend or flex ever-so-slightly...💯
if a metal is too rigid...it becomes fragil and brittle...almost crystalline...which is terrible.
this is why forged and tempered steel is the ultimate go to metal.
its the ultimate property for any metal because it can absorb and disipate energy at the atomic level (more or less)
its why tungsten is in industrial uses the best most durable and heat resistant metal..which is used for crusibles that are essentially cast molds for molten liquid metal..
...but it's terrible for construction of bladed weapons and tools because the edge does not keep very well and renders the metal ultimately useless as far as blades are concerned.
also...in construction...TITANIUM is a phenomenon metal because it does not corrode or oxidize. so it won't rust or break down.
so essentially...you want to use the right metal for the right purpose, because each type of metal has its own properties that make it good or bad for its function...
for instance copper is a phenominal metal for electronics because its electrical conductivity...but its extremely soft and pliable...which of course would not be good for anything that needs to be durable.
Melts at below freezing ... Actually sublimates into solid gas as temp is approaching Absolute Zero. Go figure?

The trouble with the Spiderman test is that it's suggesting that his danger sense is psychic in some form and the metal cannot be detected by that means. However, putting on a suit of mysterium wouldn't make you undetectable because either the metal functions like a barrier and therefore creates a void, which can be detected, when psychic energy fails to penetrate its surface or the person inside the suit is detected while the suit itself cannot.
You're over thinking it...and making assumptions about something we still know little about. Just enjoy the fun.

A psychic scanning an area can only determine if there are mental energies within range. If they already know where someone is, then they could try to detect the presence of a living mind. If they don't pick up mental emanations this might mean the target is shielded, a machine or something else too different for them to connect with.
@@Racistobama If Mysterium creates a naturally occuring barrier against psionic and psychic abilities then it can be detected by the inability to percieve what is within that barrier. Detection of these kinds of shields or other limiting factors are very common.

I gotta say, I didn't expect that my favorite title during Fall of X would be a Gerry Duggan book. I give it only a slight edge over Children of the Vault just because it's an ongoing. By pairing up Emma Frost and Tony Stark, and by letting Wilson Fisk walk into a Krakoan gate earlier in the current X-Men run so that he can later be used in this book, this series made sure to give us something new and interesting. I can't wait to see what plans Tony Stark has for mysterium.
Please keep uploading exactly when I sit down with my food and say "I have nothing to watch."
i dunno how. but i knew tony's gonna test the cane against spider man's spider sense, i mean when it comes to spider man its probably his biggest asset in battles, aside the intellect really. can't wait to see what tony will cook up though. and a side note (since i don't follow comics super well... but nill armor looks AWESOME)
It's scary what this Mysterium stuff can do. Even chaos magic can't affect it and its durability is off the charts, but for it to be able to bypass spider man's spider sense makes it seem to convienient, as if it was created for the purpose of exterminating the heroes

Anycase, he took the cane to everyone except the one guy who would probably actually do some damage: Wolverine.
While I can understand the cane not triggering the Spidey-sense, would the metal in a suit of armor work the same way? Like, spide-sense couldn't sense a threat from it, sure, but Tony's actual fist wasn't coming at Spidey. Would the armor disguise the same exact intent of Tony inside it? Or would the spidey-sense detect the threat of the person inside, but be unable to detect the suit? Would the beams be undetectable, or would they just be normal energy beams? Unless the beam projector was made to use the metal in the production of the beams, I would assume that it would just be a normal beam. But that's just me being logical. They'd likely just say "Yea, and the armors beams are undetectable too." or something.

I'm getting a bit curious about this Mysterium metal. If it's really this powerful what would happen if it was bonded to Wolverine's bones instead of Adamantium? Because from my perspective it would make him almost unstoppable. If not the most effective assassin in the world.

Was thinking the same thing, Wolverine with this Mysterium in place of Adamantium, I see that as a whole new monster, it would have so many possibilities and, there wouldn't be Adamantium poisoning which, would increase his healing factor as well as his other mutations, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced this should happen.

I bet it'll break adamantium easily, and I bet it will negate healing factors, or at least slow them down. They just casually nerfed Spider Man, along with everyone else with the Spider Sense. They're *absolutely* going to showcase it with Wolverine.

Tony wearing an Iron-Man armor that is virtually indestructible to some of the strongest characters, completely immune to magic, and can resit Spider-Man's Spider Sense should put him well above characters like Batman, and even Black Panther.

Peter, you have a BS in chemistry. Dr. Octopus tried to get you to the PhD level, but you evicted him before he could make a lot of headway. Reed Richards designed and built multiple super-science devices, not the least being the spacecraft that granted the FF their powers in the first place. Tony invented limitless clean energy and several dozen nearly industructible suits of power armor.
Your crowning achievement is making a really sticky fluid in your bathroom. You're smart, but you're not Reed Richards/Tony Stark smart.
You know I really like that we are going to see spider-man in the future comics if that ending line is anything to go by

Wonder what the colour will be this time? - however I am still annoyed that he can't develop a way to bringing down the Iron Sentinels like he did every previous villain who wore his tech in Armour Wars I & II. In the Sins of Sinister Tony and Reed hacked ORCGIS. Can't they do that again? And don't tell me Reed wouldn't jump at the chance to do a little science behind Susan's back because he would, convincing himself that Sue will understand this time.

I take issue with it bypassing the Spider Sense, because his sense should have picked up on Tony trying to hit him in lieu of the object he was hitting him with
Even for cheesy plot device supermetal, bypassing Spider Sense is just odd since it was just Tony and a Cane, not a suit of it yet.
I imagine it's like it doesn't pick it up at all. If the cane wasn't there, Tony would just be swinging his arm near Peter, nothing worth warning about. So I imagine the cane would count as like nothing to the sense, like it doesn't exist at all kind of thing.
How do you melt and form a seemingly indestructible metal?
I also wonder if Magneto could control it.

In endgame when Tony sacrificed himself to save humanity, I think he became worthy of mjolnir. Meaning when he died since he died in battle defending the realms, he would go to Valhalla. I'm curious what armor he would make with that tech at hand, plus the knowledge of others there.

I'm getting X tinction Agenda story vibes. Like how writers basically gave us the reblended Star Wars Trilogy and called it new.
Captain "caught & carried a celestial back to Earth from space" Marvel not being able to break it is one thing. Dr " cut out a week of my life & and stored it in a pocket dimension to solve my future murder" Strange is another. But Spider-Man's Spider Sense couldn't even detect that shit hitting him in the leg??? That's basically a precog ability and that shit hid what Tony was going to do! This might just be the most powerful metal in the universe.
The art is good here . And the artist goes all out drawing Emma 1:03😏. They released a teaser trailer with Magneto resurrected,the world in flames and Emma sitting on the ground with a broken arm with Nimrod and Omega Sentinel around her. It sucks that we have to wait till January next year to see what's going on .
