I "picked" exactly the same things you did Sarah, except for one: The cutting board. I have gone back to real wood because I learned that when the surface gets normally scratched with the knives micro plastics start getting into our food. Just something to keep in mind. I didn't think the cardigan was very attractive either. Hope you and your family have lots of fun in the snow! Can't wait to receive my candle snuffer!
Do you find that food juices seep into the wood. I’ve worried about the plastic but was kind of afraid of bacteria seeping into wood. Any ideas. What are the other choices.
I absolutely love the look of wood cutting boards and use them to display snacks and garnishes when I’m entertaining. I didn’t want to buy a used wooden one though because of the meat juices and not knowing how it was or wasn’t cleaned by its previous owner. Another option is tempered glass!
I have a beautiful black tempered glass cutting board , extremely durable, hardy and light and they non porous so don't absorb any bacteria. Doesn't scratch and I have had it for years. I thought Sarah's one looked glass but maybe it wasn't. Another option I have seen is marble cutting boards.
@ I wash mine with soap and water after each use. I totally agree with used cutting boards, I wouldn't buy them either. But I like the idea of tempered glass cutting board.
I learnt this over time if you see this nothing stays waterproof for its life time. I always have a can of good Scotch guard that I redo shoes gloves etc once a year. Just a thought

You can re-cover the outside of any photo album with fabric or contact paper. Don't worry how about how the outside looks.
Oh that’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
