cool freakout demo! I have the same machine, although it is the multivox version. hiss, noisy pots and over saturated sound... this is a mean machine. the inputs are great for guitars also, more creamy than the re-201. about replacement tapeloops: please, do not use regular 1/4" tape, as they are abrasive to the heads and have much more distortion. use 'lubricated' broadcast / 8track tape instead.
@carthagepropaganda the evans sounds more rough and noisier against the rolands. but is a lot more flexible. by now, i wouldnt spend any more money on tape-echoes. they are cool, but need a lot of time and money for keeping them alive. a very nice echomachine is the dynacord vrs 23. excellent sounding and no trouble with tape loops running wild...
Exactly the same thing as the Multivox MX-312...totally identical.
Charles Fick hmm asking my self if its like the spacecho from Roland? Mhh bought that Evans ;-)
For me the best of all!!
Dude! Edgar Wallace & Moors Murderers references... now that is a demo!
Nice machine. Fun and helpful video.
That was an awsome echo freakout. Have you heard any digital units that can get close to this effect?

@kaine180
you may use any kind of 1/4"" tape loops, same kind as for the roland space echoes.

I'd love to hear this demoed with a guitar; I kinda like this one, warts and all.
