Well, I certainly wouldn't mind if Aidan Turner were the last man I ever saw. :)
Teodoro means divine gift, or gift of God. A well written story, even to the names.

I think the scene takes place in Zurich - the woman is suffering with a painful and terminal illness and has traveled to Switzerland to seek the services of Dignitas to help her end her life. That is why the medicine bottles are labeled in French. The procedure is to take an anti nausea drug, usually a capsule, first, and then an hour later to take an overdose of pentobarbitone, which comes as a powder that is dissolved in water or juice.
Aidan as Angel of Death... not bad! It's very interesting his career, his role choices
So sincere the acting in this, taking nothing away, I would definately have a final request for Aidan...😉

Very poignant story. Love how soft spoken Aidan is here. Niamh Cusack was wonderful. I always picture her as Beatrix Potter from "The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends".
Thanks for posting, this was a pretty good short film, I liked it. The story and cinematography were beautiful and the actors were really good (too bad the sound was terrible, though. They should have post-synched it...). And of course, it's so fun and interesting to see the beginnings of Aidan Turner's career. Man, these young filmmakers can now tell everyone "You know the guy who plays Kíli ? Well, he was in my short film in 2007..." Pure awesomeness.

I liked the concept of an underground euthanasia service. I think the acting on the count of the female lead was very truthful. Aidan turner looked pretty but played well given the shot coverage was lacking. I think an establishing shot would have been great in the beginning, perhaps some pictures of her in her youth, an oxygen mask to suggest she is ill. Shot blocking too, reaction shots, and some cut aways. Still pretty awesome, better than my first short that's for sure hehehe
I think it would take away from the film and our process of trying to figure out the situation with different ideas based on different cues. Both acted neutral in a way to foster speculation differently at different times in the film. Very gentle acting ... lovely and disposed of my first query right away.

The acting was good, however, the subject matter is terrible. No one should end their life,as it permanently separates you from God ! He will take you, when He calls you ! Thou shall not kill, and that goes for yourself ! 🙏🙏🙏✝❤😢

Assisted suicide, is the sub-plot. The main story is about Necrophilia. This is why the conversation centered on if the man had a wife or girlfriend, and would his sexual partner mind. She didn't ask him what his mother thought, for goodness sake. She inquired about his sexual life. Then asked him if he would take care of her, be kind in handling her when she was out cold or dead. "You promise?" She's easing her conscience with what she knows can't be defended in expecting to be defiled. The male character is cast as younger than her, the perfect age for sexual peak and prowess, and why so many viewer comments assumed at first that he was a call-boy, male prostitute. He's made to look like a greasy creepy pimp. He is a call-boy, for the dead not the living. When the dying have no means or money for assisted suicide her payment is her body, to a wickedly sick depraved rapist. Notice the camera centered on the back of her waist and hips, when she got up to get a drink. This was giving us the view through the man's lustful eyes, from his seated position, seeing into his mind. To program YOUR mind. A drink is customary before sex between strangers. She never calls him "Dr.", there's no discussion of anything medical, in fact, when she falters, he acts cluelessly concerned, "Are you OK?" So he is not engaged in the subject of her health, in her supposed purpose for ending her life. He is there for his purpose. Satan makes his under-cutting bargain when you are at your worst despair. But Satan can't take you unless you surrender and this intends to coax you. So stop gushing ladies. Aidan is an empty lure. Actors who take part in these dark themed projects don't deserve praise. They are 'bought'. Don't think they don't know what they are doing. They are creating a world more dim and frightful for you and your children and theirs. The wicked pirates of this world want necrophilia and pedophilia legalized. This is how they start, a few decades before they intend to do it. The trans-sexual perversion was prevalent in movies in the 40's (hidden in plain sight) and is now full-blown culturally integrated. Wow. Necrophilia?? Reading a lot into everything. I found it to be kind, just as she described the sound of the wind on the mountain to the young man. This is exactly how Elijah found G-d ... in the small voice on a mountain... peaceful, "not in the fire." Glad my thoughts don't contain these things or an assumption of "Evil"!
