I had chills when Mitchell said "Didn't your mother tell you never to talk to strange men?". Aidan's such a great actor (along with the rest of the cast), he's able to make a sharp contast between the cold, intimidating, sadistic monster and the cool and hip hippie type who's extremely likable and cheerful
In other words the perfect serial killer!
Not hippie since in Victorian era men had ponytails longer hair. Mitchell might of been born in Victorian times. I love being human watched every episode we call vampires the djinn that fly that feast on blood and werewolves dog djinn
Djinn in my religion means devil demon entity that walk among humans and punish bad humans
To me he's such a compelling vampire character because he's not the stereotypical hollywood kind. It really helps show that being human is a realistic look at monsters if they were in our world. Mitchell isn't a brooding, pale, skinny hot guy. He's attractive but like she said he's "foreign looking", is bigger than other actors and is attractive but in a rugged way. He looks like a man. His character isn't a brooding good guy or some nice guy vampire trying to be good. He's a genuinely good guy who also has some flaws, and his drinking isn't some bad habit, it's a genuine issue that makes him worse. When he starts acting dark it's not like other shows where it's normal. It genuinely makes you scared and makes you want mitchell to go back to being himself. God this show had the best characters. Their species didn't make their characters, they just helped influence aspects of their personality. Mitchell, George and Annie all feel like real people who became a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost.
Aidan can be really intimidating if he wants to. That unblinking stare, good lord. I can almost feel the air crystallizing around him. I love this scene so much.
*SPOILER*
The moment Mitchell left, the show was done. When George followed, the earth was salted.
jono senten they left? Why?
And Nina too, she didn’t even get a goodbye. Poor Annie
Agree those 3 was the show . The newbies dident cut it
@@edgymoji8260 I really enjoyed watching Annie save the world from the vampire apocalypse. She was so powerful and finally reunited with Nina, George and Mitchell with baby Eve.
Nah. Mitchell was great but Hal was just as good if not better
I am Canadian, and I have to say, after watching both the UK version and the US version, I like the UK one better...and Mitchell is so much hotter!
Liked the US story line better and their George aka Josh. But Mitcheal is deffently better all around . The us vamp was dull and ugly
I'm so glad they replaced the original Mitchell with Aidan. The other guy was just too..... stereotypical.
Mitchell is so much more than your average broody vampire, he's actually a pretty likable guy with of course some skeletons in the closet (lol) and I think Aidan captures this brilliantly.
Since watching Poldark and becoming such an Aidan Turner fan I have been watching Being Human and I love it. Its quirly, a little gross at times, but funny and just that good. I bet the powers that be hated losing Aidan when he went off to make The Hobbit because he was awesome in this show. I love the relationships between the three of them and I also laugh a lot.
I remember watching "being human" and thought...now there is a leading man!
Turner is old Hollywood handsome!
Hope he gets some good work after this! He did....Poldark!
Christ, I actually find "evil" Mitchell here to be scarier than "Bad" Hal. I know Hal was infamous for doing truly disgusting and horrifying stuff, but you see a massive difference in how Mitchell was before he met George
Liam Roberts .....How???? Nothing happens lol
Liam Roberts who is Hal and what show was he in
Heidi Black rose Hal Yorke was the vampire "replacement" in Seasons 4 and 5. He was incredible. Far more intense and complex than Mitchell, and very compelling to watch.
DP 63 wow ok I might give 4 and 5 a watch
Heidi Black rose You should. Most shows lose something when a cast is replaced, but not BH. Many would argue that it actually got better. And as much as I love the original cast, I agree. Hal and Tom are fascinating. Alex is awesome. Adam is hilarious. Etc etc. Also, I would argue that Hal is considerably more frightening and dangerous than Mitchell, which is very welcome in show about monsters. Check out the trailers.
I have seen Aidan as a Dwarf and a Werewolf. I've seen him in The Clinic and ive seen him in Poldark and I've seen him in Desperate Romantics, but I haven't seen him as a vampire and I must say that was incredibly sexy. Talk about some jaw dropping looks.
Totally agree, can't wait for season 2 of Poldark. It shows on September 4th
XD
I know I'm so excited for it.
what film was he a werewolf? I've only seen him in Poldark, ATTWN, and The Hobbit films
Thank you! I've seen both that film and Desperate Romantics as well!
I haven't, is it good? Do you highly recommend it?
I miss that dude. He made an extremely alluring vampire. I've enjoyed Hal in series 4 and 5. But to me Being Human has felt like a first wave and second wave cast wise, both really different. But it was great to have Tom in both, he made that transition from a supporting to major character really well.
Aiden is such a fantastic actor!!!
Am I the only one who just LOVES the black eyes? Mitchell looks so mysterious and sexy! I can't help but squeal whenever his eyes go black in the show.
What a fantastic show. What a fantastic man. Aidan deserves every accolade that the acting world has to offer. He's truly one if the best actors I've ever seen.
And the sexiest of all of them. He's so talented and good looking he could walk of with any part
Oh amen to that. He's an extremely rare combination of amazing looks and superior acting skills. You don't find very many of this caliber.
The more amazing an actor is it seems the more they are underappreciated. How is he so talented AND physically stunning!!?? Also great at emoting anything, whether its being unbelievably sweet and light to menacingly intimidating. He's one in a billion, and he's an awesome possum.
yeah theyre great :P I was just happy to know that Annie was reunited with Mitchell, George and Nina.. i wish they could have got the actors back for one last like 2 minute clip of them meeting when she goes through her door.
Thankfully they re-cast Aidan as John Mitchell no offense to the guy in the pilot episode but Aidan is so much more intense, dark and delectable as evil Mitchell lol
I agree, Aidan Turner, was much better as Mitchell. I also like Lenora better as Annie.
Yes I also like Leonora but there is only one George Lol Russell plays him amazingly especially during the change from George to Werewolf
"I'm not nice ... He's not nice..." I was so sure he was going to say ".. We're not nice..." in some devil voice lol :)
Xx
I cant believe he is gone.. :((
Gosh I'll miss him. The best charecter in Being human
R.I.P Mitchell
Oh, come on. Kíli is just as hot as Mitchell was. I love him with long, messy hair and his beautiful Dwarf costume and I'm really glad he's part of the Hobbit adventure (I mean, for Aidan Turner, this movie is the road to glory.)
"I'm going to keep a very close eye on you" followed by the least reassuring smile in the world! priceless
cutie Mitchell is a suit!
in*
@missmuggledetector you don't find it to be sort of absurd? The British version got much darker later on in the last two seasons but it never felt like you were watching a bad B horror film. The Canadian version just feels kind of overdone. and people do get emotional about their shows sometimes. I don't think the hate is intentional.
I just love that the guy who played the devil in the last season went on to be Aidan's pretty useless man servant in poldark XD
@shaolinwisdom there are gud american shows tho such as the simpsons, futurama, family guy, american dad and scrubs. I don't think it matters where it comes from its down to the skill and quality of whoever thinks them up
LOL! True about Mitchell (SO HOT!!!). But as far as the dumb bint in the car is concerned Herrick was in the car to and you could not PAY me enough to get in a car with him!
The first thing I said when I started watching this show was, "Good god he's pretty..."
@shaolinwisdom
Thankyou. I don't think all americans are like that, but like you said quite a lot are. Im british, i like americans but sometimes they wind me up.
This Mitchell is way hotter and prettier than the actor in the U.S version.
He looks like a Tim Burton character.
Herrick is one of my all time favourite TV villains. He had it all...
How beautiful he is... god created such a perfect beauty.. those eyes are the sweetest , and that expression..no words. And he is so genious actor.
Согласна с тобой
are you kidding me ? more of this this would be awesome , if possible .
this character really brings some of the best performances of this actor
That was the best. God he is gorgeous.
Hi, BBC! These prequels are amazing. You guys are really going above and beyond to help us get to know these wonderful characters!
I met him today ^^ In town, he hugged me and everything, he's a really nice guy :)
I really think he looks much better as a vampire than a dwarf, damn you Peter Jackson, I miss my vampire
When he said "I'm not nice. He's not nice" I expected him to say afterwards "we're not nice".
I miss Mitchell...!
Oh my gosh, I would love to bitten by that gorgeous man. ^_^
Anyone know the song playing in the car?
an eternity with Cullen or a one night stand with Mitchell.....come on it's no competition people! Mitchell!
I die every time mitchell comes on- he is soooo fit!
I've just read that America's Syfy are doing a remake of "Being Human." Why, why, why? Why have America always got to do remakes of things instead of original work? The original media that is created in the States is entertaining, so surely there is no need to remake other stuff. You can be guaranteed that it won't be as good as "Being Human".
Aidan with short hair = lovely.
The british seem to make better shows and movies about vampires and werewolves and other supernaturals than the Americans :/ No offence.
I wish more people watched this show! And then maybe Aidan Turner would stay :(
I am from th usa and I love this show it is one of the best out there. Thank god it is not like it here where the vampires and the werewolfs are always fighting and the vampire and the werewolf are friends. Great job Being human keep it up, and the vampire is hot as hell.
So long since we seen Mitchell in being human, nice to see him again
I wonder how they do the eye shifting thing. Do they use contact lenses or SFX? Or both, perhaps
It was all SFX :)
I think he aaaaalways look hot. This guy is a guy who can wear everything! The biggest crap and still look hot. I loved Aidan as a vampire and now I love him as a dwarf :)
I would marry Mitchell, how could you not fall for those dark brooding eyes.
I was a little sketchy about his show but I reaaallly like it!
I don't remember this scene from the series. Was this actually in an episode or is this a web extra?
who acts mitchell in this?
i wish Hal and Mitchel met...and Annie with Alex...that would be funny...*sigh*
I love Aidain as Mitchell, he makes me drool everytime I see him with those tight tops on, mmmmmm. He can bite me anytime, I never saw the pilot but love the series and I think this new Mitchell is way sexier than the old and way cooler with his lovely smile :).
@HarvestStation
It is true I love British TV. But I have to watch my shows online because I don't have the channel. I tried watching our version of this show but I turned it off after 30 minutes
i'm glad they're bringin herrick back he's funny and whoever plays him is a gud actor
psh i'd let mitchell turn me into a vampire=)
I want to marry aidan do bad he has a girlfriend
Aidan Turner plays THIS Mitchell.
I think the first one was played by Guy Flanagan (did I get that right?) but he was replaced with Aidan THANK GOD!
Hey does anyone know what is on Mitchell’s rings
I love this show, me and my mum think he is sooooo hot!
hahahahahaha...that would be an interesting prequal.
lol
Oh no! I didn't realize Annie was leaving too. I just got comfortable with Tom & Hal. How can Annie leave too and have the show still be good? She's kind of THE show. I felt that way about MItchell too and got over it but.......no original members?
@Smidgenity He said he's not sure yet because of filming commitments with the Hobbit, but likely they'll either delay filming for season 4, or he'll leave :( hopefully he'll return though. Anyway if he starts getting noticed more and offered movie roles and stuff I doubt he'll staay :(
oh i thought this would be like wen mitchell got turned into a vampire by herrick in the war
When are we going to see this mysterious Annie video BBC Three has already put on their site?
My sister in law is american and she understands perfectly. And if you don't want to listen to british accents, then don't watch it. Ironically, some of my favourite tv shows are american. With regards to your comment on americans not wanting to hear british accents- you've confirmed my belief that america seems to live in its own box and has to dominate everything.
British TV
The Zombies song in the background YES!
I love the short hair on Mitchell
The stupidity of some women😒
So Mitchell was already trying to climb out of that bloodlust addiction, Herrick was seeing it and wanted to pull him back and keep him completely in it
Back when BBC3 produced some great content - Being Human (inc the shorts Becoming Human), Ideal, and Gavin and Stacey etc.
@tinaUNDAcova If you like English series check out Primeval on WoundedWolfGirl's and WolfQueene channel she has the whole series' its really good and cant praise it enough!!
Why does Herik remind me of Mike Myers?
Being Human's probably the best thing to come from the BBC in it's history, along with Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.
The movie was interesting and had some powerful messages, and Aidan's acting is great, but why do movies always have to have nude or sexual scenes? If people can control monster instincts, can' they control their passions?
@xvixxenx What!? He's leaving?
I love the new Mitchell now! I actually prefer him, He pulls off boththe funny and dark sides. And he's quite handsome too! xx
@Eugenidesful HAHA I never know a villian has a since humor when being cold blooded.
Oh I so agree. I love Being Human but part of what makes it what it is is the Britishness ( is that a word) of it. If you loose that I think you loose part of what makes the show unique.
I heard that their going to remake Being Human in America- Why those characters and the actors are great plus its shown on bbc America anyway! Mitchell all the way
1:54 his look.... damn it HOT!!!!
@foxgloved1, us Brits hate having to wait for Season 3 too! We're also hoping that the "American remake" doesn't totally butcher the show...
Thats because U.S always have to remake good series and shows... Why can`t they just enjoy the original?
i barelt recognized mitchell he should be in a suit with his hair neat more often its a good look on him
R.I.P. Mitchell.
I enjoy the original just fine.
3:00 to 3:42 He kinda freaked me out there because I have never seen him like that before.
"I'm not nice, and he's not nice"
Me. Want. Him.
@tinaUNDAcova OMG initt!! I love him rather a lot :D
Love this prequel love how it goes back to 1964 🥰🥰🥰
The sweetest vampire ❤️
Heh. Only one episode has aired so far, and it has a different Mitchell and Annie. But if you're talking about the pilot, I agree!
@fragileguilt, I think I feel the same way after looking up the US trailer on youtube. I'll still be interested in seeing what the Syphilis channel has done with the concept, as sometimes they can produce good stuff (Battlestar Galactica, that Dune miniseries, etc) but the trailer mostly made me cringe. Oh well, the UK series is continuing whether the US one sucks or not so it doesn't matter much!
lol yeah ge cab Mitchell is so much better looking!
if he is a vampire why does he cook makes little sense this wont last long
i luv these preqs. Mitchell looks fresh to death in any time period YUM
'You look foreign'
Well, he is...
I LIKED MITCHELL!!!!!!
I'm actually friends with the actress lol
jPod07 Cool! Could I ask you how old she is?
Viktoria F She was 21 at the time of filming
@PBL187 that true too america has its good shows but america seems to mess up or water down any show it adapts from a foreign country. Life on Mars in the US was gonna have Colm Meaney as Gene Hunt But ABC opted him out for Harvey Keitel instead and He came off as a Midget with a Napoleon complex. The US Being Human has its charm but its has no emotion like the original, Russell Tovey plays George as a very tragic figure, crying, Horrible Screams while transforming etc. the us one isnt as deep.
Jesus, what is it with women and vampires?
Too easy to exploit.
I miss Mitchell, but Hal's great too.
