This song, for me at least, represented the calm before the storm that was 2020, where I thought I was finally getting myself on track. Then when covid came, life just hit me like a truck. I was lost, depressed, I had frequent anxiety issues to the point of near breakdowns, and I still do somewhat. I'm currently working myself up, I now have pool to swim in and a job, albeit with minimum wage, to keep me occupied in these trying times. I guess as soon as I heard this song, thanks to Uncle Al, the show *really* wasn't over.
omg u summed up what I felt back in '20. I went thru an awful bout of PTSD right after 2020 began all the while 2019 felt like my renaissance. adult swim bumps kept me going in those days.
Mongoose1Billion Of all of my bumps, I agree that this one feels the most like the good old days of [adult swim] back in the mid 2000s. I would say that two other bumps on my channel are pretty close to that old school [as] feel. Check out "Dilapidated Barn" and "Bar B Q".
I remember the super short swimbound LFO bump made me feel like adult swim was as adult swim as adult swim could be as well. Thanks for this playlist man. Its making me have all kinds of feels from being a teenager

It’s ironic, because now Adult Swim is the last bastion of Cartoon Network now. Those unhinged chads are the ones bringing us great shows, even bringing the return of our past
@@DrAnimePhDIn a way, it’s really living up to the “Adult” part of it’s name now more than ever since many of us that grew up on the classics from Cartoon Network’s golden age are just that now, as unfortunate and sad as that is to remember.😔
It’s strange. I had never thought that, after listening to this song for years, just the sight of an oil refinery could nearly bring me to tears. I was driving on the road when I had spotted it, standing alone in a barren field, its gray clouds evaporating in the just as gray sky. The sight immediately reminded me of this video that I had watched countless times and I knew I just had to listen to this song as I drove on. In the rear-view mirror I watched as the song played, past the refinery, and its features faded. The chimneys shrunk, its smoke became the clouds floating in the sky, and its many pipes became one with the horizon. And to my surprise, I felt tears pricking my eyes as I watched this building disappear into the distance. Somewhere in there, somehow, was a sense of resolution. A sense of closing a chapter. Not because of its relation to Adult Swim, that I had never watched when I was a child, but for what it represented: a childhood long gone, fading, but its glow still illuminating the path ahead of me. Though it was not perfect, of course, it had been a childhood that had been so nice, so pleasant, thanks to the people around me, the world that surrounded me and still does. So thank you everyone, thank you for how wonderful my life has been. May the road ahead be just as beautiful.
