Fun fact: While Kenny Omega Vs Lesnar never happened in Japan, Lesnar v Shinsuke Nakamura did happen in Japan and I think it was even an IWGP Championship match
Masato Tanaka vs Mike Awesome is one of the best feuds ever, especially the ECW 05 match and the Heatwave one. The crowd is rowdy as fuck this entire match, it's brutal and just a culmination of years of story. Mike Awesome would later take his own life less than a year later and this would be seen pretty largely as his magnum opus.
I remember the Shamrock v. Vader match because of the Receipt that Vader gave Shamrock. Shamrock was being overly stiff because he wasn't used to the In Your House style matches, and Vader just straight clocked Shamrock as hard as he could.
I vaguely remember shamrock being "advised" by management to stiff Vader. I clearly remember first seeing the receipt in botchamania while 8-bit music was playing. Timing was hilarious
The Jericho match at One Night Stand 2005 was against Lance Storm. At the time Lance intended for it to be his last match to mirror the fact that they had their first matches ever against each other. He later came out of retirement to face Bryan Danielson for the ROH title (and had sporadic independent matches for a few years after that).
Would love if someone sends them a quiz about “what happened in that segment” where you narrate the segment in two lines and then they have to tell what happened after them. For example- When heath ledger walked up to this wrestler what savage reply did he give which is featured in his majority of highlights.
The Brock vs. Kenny one was a trick question, because the January 4th shows didn't start being called Wrestle Kingdom until 2007. Brock did however wrestle on the January 4th Tokyo Dome show in 2006, defending the IWGP title against Shinsuke Nakamura.
I got an aneurysm trying to understand the title lol CLEAN SWEEP 6:24 I only knew this one because of the name of the PPV, back in 2008 it wasn't called Clash of Champions
The HHH/Taker Question was actually super easy as long as you remember that Taker/Lesnar was at WM30 and Taker/HHH was 2 matches in a row. If the answe was A, then that means B would also have been correct, which would break the rules set at the beginning of only one of them being correct.
@@libralord3009 @libralord3009 Thats what I was saying. I was more going on that even if you werent sure, if you knew only those two things (Taker/Lesnar at 30 and Taker/HHH being a 2 match set in a row), there could only be one answer (B) that fit the rules of the quiz.
In One Night Stand, The Sandman teamed up with Tommy Dreamer to face the Dudley Boyz. "Lionheart" Chris Jericho opened the night wrestling Lance Storm.
As a long time viewer of Pro wrestling. I Love these videos! I've been watching since the first couple of videos. And I knew you guys would be the next big thing in the internet wrestling community. As a long time viewer of Pro wrestling I appreciate how much Dante knows and I think John is a great underdog who will eventually beat Dante.
I love John but why does he always have to make those little mistakes 😭 If you knew Styles and Cole never fought at Takeover why did you pick it? 😭 John whyyyyy i was rooting for you! Being on Team John is so stressfull but this is the life i chose. #TeamJohn
That Mike awesome, vs Tanaka match was fantastic. I think it was the best match on that card. Tanaka getting powerbombed outside on a table and then Mike awesome leaping onto him.
Roman v Seth v Dean at battlegrounds is very memorable for me because imo it had the best promo package WWE has ever done. This is a war was a perfect song choice
10:08 it wasn't a random PPV, it was the next PPV after Money In The Bank. Dean Ambrose won the briefcase and cashed in later in the night on Seth right after Seth beat Roman for the belt. In storyline Seth was pissed that Dean cashed in MITB on him right after he beat Roman and Roman wanted a rematch, so they put all 3 of them in a triple threat match at the next PPV.
10:08 Battleground 2016 was Seth vs Roman vs Dean......2015 was Seth vs Brock, Also wasn't a random PPV it was the Brand split ppv after MITB where all 3 members of the shield was champion in 1 night, Roman walked in champ, Seth beat him and then Dean cashed in.
Excited for the vid. I don’t have Twitter so you guys might have already said sumn, but is there gonna be a podcast this week? Or should I say, one two, is the podcast gonna be awhn? Edit: I just checked your Twitter John, so now I know lol. Feel better soon man!
16... went all in in the end. wasn't entirely sure if it's 2015 or 2016 battleground. One question: Why in the hell did John ever agree to play this game in the first place. How did Dante put him up for this. I mean he is killing it every time... PS you two would make one hell of a tag match, something like the hardy boys
got all of them right except for the last one. I dont know why but I had it in my head that a Shield triple threat has never happened.. I thought it was B only because I was also completely certain that C never happened either. B was the only one I wasnt sure about.
1st one: Cena vs Austin wouldve been impossible. Cena was fresh and new...but August 2002 was after Austin went MIA (walked out at a show) and didnt return til feb of 2003
Ahhh...almost clean sweeped. I had 8 going into the Wager Round and went all 8. Ended up with 16. Now I'm going to watch the one match I got wrong: John Cena vs. Bryan Danielson. How was he in WWE in 2003? I thought he debut with the first year of NXT guys...
This not a match but during 2019 survivor series the oc which being Aj styles, Luke gallows and Karl Anderson went to NXT and attacked the undisputed era
With the triple h vs undertaker match. It's was simple because they went back to back 27 and 28. If the answer were 29 both would have been correct in that case. because it would have had to be 28 and 29. So that gives you your answer simply. Get what I'm throwing down at ya's 😁
I hope You guys rate watch and rate NJPW, NOAH and AJPW matches and PPVs. Japanese Wrestling is the best and thanks to CM Punk mention New Japan in 2011 in the pipebomb.
Ahh yes that famous PPV In Your House 1997....also Clash Of Champions 2008 isn't a thing. If I was making the quiz I'd use ppvs that actually existed. Anyway got them all, too easy.
Fun fact: While Kenny Omega Vs Lesnar never happened in Japan, Lesnar v Shinsuke Nakamura did happen in Japan and I think it was even an IWGP Championship match
I think that’s how a lot of these were designed
There was also a Lesnar vs Kurt Angle match, where both the IWGP and TNA belt were on the line. So Lesnar once wrestled for the TNA Belt
wooow,didnt know that
Just sucks it wasn't the King of Strong Style

I'm not even a fan of it but watching that match gave me goosebumps
3:15 Alex Shelley was indeed in TNA and one-half of the Motor City Machine Guns. And he still is. 😛
Easy perfect.
The title had me Trippin but after he said it I was like ohhh keep up the great content
Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka have some of the best matches ever. highly recommend.
definitley want a part 2. What a cool concept.
Just made the part 2
That title spun me

Ayyy this is the one I made! Maybe I'll have to make a 2nd one
If you have time go watch some Tanaka vs Awesome matches in ECW, they were great
Very stiff n brutal

Dante W. Goat .

I picked that one too. That was the only one I got wrong. How was Daniel Bryan in WWE in 2003? I have to look it up.

I knew #1 just like that because Austin was early in his walkout from WWE at the time, left in June of that year.
