  • We're seeing a lot of death and destruction in Palestine, and in particular, in Gaza. Is God aware of what is going on? Why doesn't God intervene? Dr. Shabir Ally says that if God micromanaged human beings, this would diminish our free will. God judges us in the Life Hereafter and rewards or punishes us based on our choices in this life. He cautions that God will only tolerate the suffering up to certain point. God will intervene, but in the meantime, God is testing us. God doesn't just test the people suffering, but also people like us who are far removed from Gaza, and world leaders, who have the power to put an end to the vicious massacres but don't. Dr. Shabir says we can expect that God will bring about good from every act of suffering, including this one.

Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran, no one will escape the Judgment Day, and justice be served in His court. What a profound solace given to the believers.

I'm a Sephardic Jew in America. I'm also Cherokee, Lumbee and Athabascan Indian. I understand both sides but ultimately I must with the Palestinians. We Jews had been gone for 1000 years from Palestine. We were exiled for a reason and that Exile has not ended. It would be like all of Sephardim returning to Spain and Portugal and putting all Spanish on notice that we are now in charge or my Native American relatives taking over all the lands taken in colonization. I have no idea how to fix this situation. I pray for both sides. I am a Nationalist and I reject all forms of colonization regardless of the pretense. This includes Mass migration to Europe, America invading the Middle East in order to destabilize the Arab World, China in Africa, or Africa in Europe. Multiculturalism will never work and never has. Somebody always wins after much blood shed. We need diversity of nations not people.

    May Allah save the oppressed!

Much respect, but how can the suffering where a child survives but loses parents and siblings. How can the level of suffering be allowed and how can a child be exposed to trauma and pain by the all mighty , is he testing a child

If God cannot prevent an oppressor exercising his freewill, why can't he protect the oppressed since it's not his freewill to be oppressed?

Father, forgive us, for we don't know what we're doing... please protect our Palestinian brothers n sisters.

Our response defines us. Although I have left religion for many reasons, my path, now a spiritual one that is devoid of dogma, brings me to an understanding that we humans must spread love and peace in order to attain higher consciousness. All children are sacred... So, we adults must be the example of love. Enjoyed your discussion... Peace and love.

Thank you so much for a balanced answer. I was crying and talking to God about this and the suffering around the world. Shortly after I saw this post. I feel so much better because I know God answered me through your wisdom and insight. I am Christian and I haven't heard anyone speak with so much love and understanding regarding how God test our hearts. Blessings to you!!

For Muslim rulers in this situation the test is not to show " forgiveness and be cowardice" , not only the public but the all the Muslim rulers are being tested to see " whether they March in the path of Allah to help the helpless or would they just cling to their comfort and convenience". It will certainly invite the wrath of Allah. Those who are silently observing this genocide happening are inviting the severe torment for themselves

And We will surely test you with something of FEAR and HUNGER and a loss of wealth and LIVES and fruits, and give good tidings to the patient ( Quran 2 : 155 )

  • @samueld.webster2438

I have been watching Let the Quran speak and i like it i have been studying the Quran for some time and I'm inspired by it

  • @ucapsalam

Let those who would sacrifice this life for the Hereafter fight in the cause of Allah. And whoever fights in Allah’s cause-whether they achieve martyrdom or victory-We will honour them with a great reward.

  • @thetruth871

yes Shabir Ally i agree with you on this one! God tests everyone and yes God allows things to happen God loves us, but because of our sinful nature, He allows these things to happen. He knows that by allowing us to experience failure, pain, and struggle, we will grow stronger in our faith and to become closer to Him and moving away from sin. God bless

''freedom of choice''.....every MOMENT is '' a choice '' as to what we do during it...alhumdu Lillah. Praise Allah all the time.

  • @sahar5522

With all due respect, what freedom did God give to the children of Gaza by making them suffer 😢

  • @Irene_Hwang

My heart is stirring for the many people out there who are blind to the cruelty that is happening in Gaza. They even mock Islam and Palestinians. 😢
