I hate to be earnest but as someone who also had a troubled childhood and then turned out successful when I was able to start feeling proud of myself, this was really touching.

Dang man this is so awesome. I was like 19 when this podcast started. Out of high school, living with me dad. I was always a huge J&A fan since I was in Middle School and their podcast was the first podcast I actually got into. I remember that’s when podcast were starting to become a big thing. Like 2013. Here I am, 28 years old now still watching these boys. Never missed anything they’ve ever done. What a crazy ride it’s been through all these years. I’ve been through so much in my life and changes in my life in general. Gained people, lost people, but these guys were with me every step of the way. And I’ll always be with them for however much longer they continue. Truly love these two guys

yeah, the fact that they never addressed this kind of points to the bubble they live in and the audience they assume they have. Makes you think how many people never had the chance to go into comedy/writing in New York because they literally could not afford it.
