@@ChrisJossOfficial you have written, in my opinion, one of the best crime show/detective show tracks ever. On the level of Cannon, Colombo, Hawaii Five-O etc. I bet Clint Eastwood would've loved having you score his movies. Awesome job!
It is hard to believe this came out in 09. I would have thought 1972-74. The sound is full with a building cadence and ample use of strings and percussion sound. The transition throughout is pretty cool.
Man this tune is great. I wish it didn't end so abruptly but I guess that leaves u wanting more so I start it over. I think it's pretty cool that you are actually replying to posts here. Most artists dont.
Superb Groove. I was watching Better Call Saul with my earphones on and was grooving to this score. My wife was wondering why I was tripping looking at some scene which wasn't actually moving that fast. I agree with the comments here, this track made that scene
Mikes creeping in the backyard eating apples from the tree, watching silently and patiently as the Krazy kettlemans dig their own grave and show him where the money is. Perfect soundtrack for this and a simply brilliant song.
Whatever the recipe for making me truly happy is, it most certainly requires Rhodes and a rhythm section so deep in that pocket. Probably in my DNA from growing up in the 70s. Great tune here.
Great minds think alike... I was scrambling for my iPhone too. I never heard this groove before and my collection is pretty extensive. I dig it's 70's influenced bass beat.
This song sounds like some 70s fusion, can't believe it's relatively new and not recorded by Herbie Hancock. It's certainly good enough to have been recorded by one of those legends.
Herbie Hancock!!! Looked it up and seems like there's more where this came from. Thanks man, it's always great to stumble upon unheard greatness from back in the days.
The way this song was used in the Better Call Saul episode "Bingo" is absolutely fantastic. The scene which it was used for (no spoilers from me) probably would have been a lot more boring without this terrific piece of music. The tempo, instruments, and key signature perform very well from start to finish. I have added this to the list of songs I like to hear.
you know this is one of those lonely days when i just wanna walk in the night looking at the moon with a drink in my hand, and this music is totally perfect for it, awesome tune!!!
Congratulations Chris. Although I don't watch television and have never heard of Better Call Saul it is good to know that you are getting the recognition that you deserve as a Musician.
coming back to this tune after finishing the show is making me nostalgic lol. brilliantly written and utilized within the show as well, no wonder it stuck with me like it did!

Everywhere I drive, everywhere I walk any time to myself I have this song on repeat, it gives me constant chills. Amazing song Chris Joss! I don't think I can ever grow tired of this song I've been listening to it non-stop for weeks!
The moment i heard that keyboard intro watching BCS i got that special grin on my face. It doesn't happen much often so thank you for that Chris. I think this tune itself made the scene so great. Hope to hear more about you soon ;)
Just heard "Down Tune" on "Better Call Saul" and came here. Sure am glad I did as I like a lot of the music from the "12 Sticks" album as well as the "Dr. Rhythm" album! Just a bunch of BadAss Funkitude blended with the right amount of Jazz Fusion and some mellow rhythms tossed in, Love it!!!

Better call Saul was amazing and so much better than breaking bad in every way and the music in every episode was just amazing and this song is just phenomenal, really helped the scene be as amazing as it is
Fantastic track. I first heard this on the episode mentioned in Better Call Saul. I went back to the beginning of this track at least three times just to hear it again. Thank you Chris Joss.
