i graduated in 1980, i did not take an SAT test my senior year, as I had moved from Indiana, to Arkansas. In Indiana I seem to remember taking an SAT test as a Freshman, Sophomore, and a Junior. I admit I did poorly in class, I knew I could graduate with D's and C's. But I always surprised the teachers by scoring very high on the SAT. The main thing I remember about the SAT is, the instructions said "Wrong answers count against you, if you do not know the answer, do not guess. Answer all the questions you know the answers to, then go back and carefully read the question, and then answer it if you are sure you understand and know the answer. By following those instructions, I scored very well.

I’m taking a Practice PSAT tm (I’mma freshman) and I don’t feel overwhelmed however studying it before and taking it before my junior year is helpful and gives me a good base to how things work on the PSAT.
Yeah I'm a sophmore and I was told it doesn't matter just go in blindly to work over it over the summer, because next year is when it matters. I"m just gonna go over general rules for hal an hour and hope for the best.

For me it was difficult but that’s because I didn’t study or prepare. I scored I think an 1110? Something around that. Not a great score but I’m sure if I studied and prepared, I could’ve gotten much higher. As long as you work hard and are determined, it’ll seem easy to you because you know the material
