Chasing some interesting power on the Hartwell RR. Original paint Conrail, Elgin and Joliet and St Lawrence Atlantic engines movings freight around Northern Georgia.
My grandfather was an engineer on the Hartwell from the 1920’s until 1960, started out with steam and ended up with a pair of GE 44 ton switchers. Both are in the Southern Railway museum. I rode on them when I was a kid, nothing like it.
