OKRA EGG
boil water with 1 tsp salt
10-12 okra
4 eggs
3-4 green onions chopped
1 tbsp garlic chopped
salt
pepper
1 tbsp oil

Being from thee south (Texas) I have been cooking okra for over 40 years but never thought of this combination. These days I rarely see fresh okra in my grocery store except in one pound containers and they add too many of the large woody spears. I have been using frozen which has been a godsend. I can’t wait to make this! Thanks. 🐾🐾
Awww. Yes. I am the same way. Never thought. But i love okra so much that i will eat when i can find them. Not that easy to find sometimes. My neighbor is growing some. So i get once in a while few pieces. Lol.
Was looking for an okra (from my garden) and eggs breakfast combo - this recipe hit the spot...the only changes I made were to use a small red onion from my garden and about 1/2 of a Thai chili chopped for a little added spice.... otherwise, this is a keeper! Will definitely make it again! Thanks
