Many immigrants choose Lindsay for its remote and surrounded-by-nature location and fairly affordable housing. The Kawartha Lakes municipality is a beautiful area in Ontario with many lakes, farmlands, and natural trails. The main population centers are the communities of Lindsay, Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Omemee, and Woodville.

Does anyone know how to get from Toronto to Lindsay using public transit? I'm planning to visit Lindsay soon and will be taking courses at Fleming College, but don't have a car yet

I don't think there is a way to get to Lindsay from Toronto using public transportation.

Is this a good place to live? Toronto is too expensive now so we are looking for a nice afforable town within maybe 1 hr 15 min from here approx...I noticed the houses here seem to be decent prices.

There are many nice places within about an hour drive from Toronto. Lindsay is not bad and it's growing.
