Only just noticed these, I’m way behind in watching my UA-cam notifications, but I’m here now, and as the proud purchaser of a few original, gold leaf artworks of yours, it’s wonderful getting to watch the process in a little more detail. Thanks for making these videos. You have a wonderful way of breaking everything down to manageable and understandable parts. 🖌️👩🏻🎨😍
Thank you so much for explaining all this so very clearly. I have been baffled by all the unpronounceable products, all the different tools and types of gold yet remain desperate to make a little shine in my work. You have shown me a way forward - very grateful. And I think your work is absolutely stunning and an inspiration.
The difference between loose and patent gold is significant. Thank you for showing us. I was on the fence between trying loose leaf or going the simpler route with transfer. Now I know the difference in the final result.
What a delightful lady. You are correct, miniatum, latin for red lead which was used in medieval manuscript illuminations. Red being the colour used on the first letters in important documents, hence 'red letter days'.

It does look that way. It creates a lovely dome effect. X
Thank you any suggestion on getting a straight line after applying the gold ?
You've got to get the straight line with the gold size, practice and patience. X
