That’s exactly what I used, outside corner cap molding. I prefer to find the exact measurement to cover the shiplap perfectly to the wall. For inside corner either butt it or I use cove molding
Thank you. I might just use 1x3 to frame around the ship lap. Would you recommend this way to go ahead and frame and then cut to length to fill in with ship lap? Or would you install the ship lap and nail the framing last to make things easier? Thanks!
@jacobcarraway1989 I prefer to install the shiplap first if I’m covering the edges. If the shiplap is being installed butt joint to butt joint them I would put the 1x3 up first, plumb and square off your floor or mantel etc.
What do you recommend for trim for non cornered areas like you used? Maybe an inside or outside corner cap? Thanks!
