    I followed all the steps to diagnose the reason my dishwasher isn’t drying but it is still leaving white residue and the dishes wet. The heat coil was in good shape but definitely looked a little worn. The rinse aid was out and I refilled. I heard that your water temperature could be cause if it’s not hot enough… could this be a factor? My water heater was below 125 for when I checked it.

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY 4 дні тому

      I’m sorry it isn’t going well yet. Not sure about the water temp but I always set water heaters around 125-130 and I know our hot water is really cold this time of year with for the first minute. Have you tried the panel reset? Long power cycle? Thanks for reaching out!!

    Looking for advise on this weird scenario: We hit/damaged an exterior (secondary) poly gas line running to the pool heater and Generac generator. We repaired it with metal compression fittings sold at the plumbing supplier. We pressure tested and verified with liquid and sniff tests. The Generac generator ran one test cycle last week fine. But now that temps have dropped below freezing this week the generator errored out. Upon further inspection by the gas guy he says there was moisture in the line which has now frozen. How do we fix? And what should have been done to prevent this in the first place?

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY 4 дні тому

      Is the gas line frozen or the gas meter/regulator? (More common). I haven’t encountered this myself but would assume freeze protection could have been installed (pipe wrap or something) since there is temperature variation between materials. Not sure if that gets you in the right direction. Thanks for commenting

    • @yota87truck
      @yota87truck 4 дні тому

      @@WarriorHouseDIY thanks for the quick reply. I'm not entirely sure. I didn't "diagnose" it. But I'm assuming regulator by what they said. They said when the gas line was open and turned off it allowed moisture in the line and it should have been blown out? Idk. haha!

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY 4 дні тому

      @yota87truck that sounds more accurate. It’s worth looking into freeze protection for the regulator. As for the water, sounds like blow out or replace the line possibly. I’d love to hear back on the outcome if you think of it.

      If the meter stops when the toilet valve is turned off then the toilet valve is probably leaking. Not sure without seeing it about the sound. Email me a video if you’d like jr@warrior.house I’ll do my best to help.

      Sounds like there’s a slow leak somewhere. Have you checked the tank seal from the tank to the bowl? You can check that by adding some food coloring to the tank, don’t flush, wait and see if the colored water leaks through to the bowl.

    Our Whirlpool Dishwater from day one when we moved into a new house, new dishwasher, it has never dried the dishes. We even call the whirlpool repairman under warranty and he could not find anything wrong. Yes my water heater is on 120 degrees, we adjusted the rinse aid knob to the high drink setting(4). Filter and heating element is all ok. But here we are with my wife removing the dishes from the dishwasher and setting them out to air dry and then hand dry. Maybe it's time to just get a new dishwasher?

    I always think this is the wrong way of plunging. Of course it works sometimes, but it’s a bad approach from several perspectives. 1) even experienced hands make messes if the clog is bad; splash and splatter, not great with toilet water; 2) it could make things worse. Thinking about it, the clog is with solids plugging some space, you are forcing the clog down, could make the clog compact tighter! I use completely opposite approach, release air slowly and almost completely from the plunger ball, then pull quickly to unclog. It always works and there’s no chance of splashing! It’s always easier to back out than forcing through!

      I really like that approach!! Hey that wouldn’t be a bad video to share with others. This video is specific to plunging however, in another video I show my preferred method which using a toilet snake. No mess and much easier. Thanks for sharing.

    "You 're going to want to simply disconnect this float staff or were you saying stem?"...... your hand was covering what ever part you were disconnecting, and how you disconnected it. Can you please explain how to unhook the float

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY Місяць тому

      The rod holding the float (on a model like this) and I apologize, yes I was holding the actual part and making it harder to see. In most cases the float will just snap apart from the float stem/rod. It’s also possible to remove the top of the fill valve assembly without disconnecting the float but can make it difficult to reattach sometimes. Thank you for commenting to point this out.

    What's the best way to clean it after filling it with urine and feces?

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY Місяць тому

      Couple swishes in the toilet with some toilet bowl cleaner usually does the trick. You can store it in a holder out of sight or keep it in a trash bag wrapped up. Thanks for asking.

      @@WarriorHouseDIYat McDonald’s we got a long twirly stick that can inject into the base of the bowl super convenient and wasy

      @RuthlessBender toilet snakes are absolutely the best for a clog, but not very easy to store or hide in a typical home bathroom. I have another video on that also. Thanks for sharing!! Does the ice cream machine work? ;)

    Did you catch any flies posing for that thumbnail. I call it UA-cam face, mouth open waiting for a fly with a stupid look.

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY Місяць тому

      @robo7643 not everyone comes up with the same sets of skills being taught. I happened to be a firefighter paramedic, so I was lucky enough to get a proper education in janitorial skills and maybe Jeremy was in a similar role. We all need a little grace when dealing with a clogged crapper ;) thanks for commenting

    That’s the drain pump it has nothing to do with cleaning rather then drain the water, your video is misleading

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY Місяць тому

      That is definitely not the drain pump. The drain pump on this model is near the front.

    • @kamalabbady6778
      @kamalabbady6778 Місяць тому

      @ Nop all drain pump has that small lip that you have to press to detach it from the sump, the wash pump on the other hand is usually attached to the sump by hoses. So it’s the drain pump

    • @WarriorHouseDIY
      @WarriorHouseDIY Місяць тому

      @kamalabbady6778 watch it again. The drain pump is above the one I’m working on. The drain hose has been detached from it. Sorry to debate but it’s just facts.
