Mainstream movie critics are going the same way as mainstream news. People know it's just elite talking points and propaganda and they are just not dumb enough to buy it, and this is great news for actual journalists as well as actual movie critics.
Hollywood has basically eliminated any kind of 'love' shown between two males because any time it's possible in the story, they just go with the ghey angle. Straight male friends are never shown to have any brotherly love for each other.
I haven’t read a mainstream movie review since TFA as I was gaslighted by them on that. My first go to for reviews for the last 10 years... UA-cam. In particular last 5 years, Chris Gore & then Drinker. Not being reviewed by MM just shows how castrated they have become. They are not relevant anymore.
I know for many there is this little qualifier to critique that goes like “I don’t care if it’s gay or not.” Well…. There are millions of folks that simply don’t want another gay show. The abundance of this “who do you want to sleep with” stuff should be allowed to be a part of the critique. It’s objectively making these properties worse. Overtaking the stories, making women not interesting, and making men not inspiring.
Magic is one of the trickiest things to write. Rules, as you said, are vital. I would say that part of the reason "Doctor Strange into the Multiverse" failed is because they had no rules, no limits. You have to do that or else the audience will turn a cynical eye at the story because it becomes just a list of whims by a lazy writer. The rules can't be thrown aside. An audience will quickly grow bored of just watching a writer's caprice.
I think, in recent years, Lord Of The Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter films had a good handle of magic and has shown the audience what can and can’t be done.
I'm writing a historical fantasy novel right now and that's one of the most important parts. Any magic needs to follow rules, have limits to its power, and can never be used casually or "for the aesthetic." Not every character can use it.
I won't argue your point regarding Dr Strange 2. But I will say there's probably a significant number of people like myself who have just gotten bored with the MCU and still love Strange 2 because it was always going to be an exercise in Raimi just going HAM.
I can't wait for the release of Daredevil Born Again so we can listen to Charlie Cox and Vincent Donofrio answering questions like "how HETEROSEXUAL is this show?" and " is this the STRAIGHTEST Marvel show ever? "
I can imagine the measured cope when the mainstream is compelled to review the movie: "is 'Am I a Racist' of particularly poor quality? No. Is it funny? No. Is it harmful? Yes."
Agatha Harkness got resurrected as a much younger woman in the comics at one point. But she was never really portrayed as a villain. After serving as nanny to Franklin Richards, she taught magic to Scarlet Witch. This version of Agatha seems to be completely different than the original comic iteration. In the comics, Agatha died in 2004, only to be resurrected in 2016 (after Disney bought out Marvel). Disney basically brought her back just so they could shoehorn her into the MCU.
Guys, love your merch, but we need non-cotton options...polyester, bamboo...whatever! I like the heather...guessing they are 50/50 blends? just guessing, but I need performance shirts I can rock on my morning run. Cotton SUCKS in humid environments.
I stopped trusting Rotten Tomatoes a while ago, I mean If any of us actually did care about the RT score we probably wouldn't be watching Film Threat anyway.
Interesting...now that two "critics" no one has ever heard of posted negative reviews, it finally has a critic score. Am I the only one who notices that for most films they'll count almost anything as a critic review?
You guys have been living in a liberal hellscape for too long. Disney/Pixar has always been a family brand. I don’t want my daughter to watch LGBTQ propaganda expecting a family friendly movie
To the woke Pixar employees: Lightyear's box office was $226m while Inside Out 2's is $1.6 BILLION so far. Like it or not, the studio pressure was the right move.
the Actors are angry that Disney is reigning them in. So they get the interviewer-guy to put the words "gay" and "gayest" into his questions 150 times during 40 minutes of interviews.
Needing very specific different kinds of witches sounds like a generic RPG for consoles from the 80s or 90s. You cannot get further ingame unless you recruit a dwarven warrior, an elven archer, a human ranger and a moogle blue mage :)
Gary from @Nerdrotic thinks that the 'gayest Marvel show' question is because to mainstream media is mad that they got exposed by The Acolyte- they shilled HARD for the show and how gay it was, how gay Star Wars was, how it was amazing and groundbreaking and the best Star Wars since the prequels, and then no one showed up
"Agony all along", looks like my joke wasn't far off😂 Of course they don't use Rules for Magic, particularly of Marvel Magic. Then again, even if they don't pay the Cost of Magic- Disney sure is footing a bill for some Witches.
That’s exactly why I watched comic book films and bought the toys when I was a kid. Because they were the gayest thing I had seen….. not at all because they were fun to watch and exciting.
A critic review bombed film would be bound to become a cult classic. Festivals named after it. Cosplay of it even out of context. For "if you know, you know". LIke me wearing my Bud Light shirt as seen in Eminem's Houdini video.
How much better would it be if Agathas character was cop who learned to care about her white male partner and the world she’s in and it shows her partners human value so as they get deeper into the case when she’s ripped out of the fantasy land like a reverse “The Family Man” she has to fight her way back with magic and by the end it’s revealed that she was the villain of the case she was working on in the cop fantasy.
I havenlt seen the episodes yet, but hasn;t it ben like five years since Wanda Vision came and went off the air? Are we supposed to remember all that happened from way back then? How would a spin-off like this make any sense?
Hey Chris: What is the discount code for merch this weekend? I saw you mention it in a video this week, but I don't have time to scan back through them all and I forgot the code already!
The first 2 episodes weren't bad. It wasn't full of ghey stuff like i expected. No telling how awful it will get from here, but so far its not as bad as i had expected.
there's a intersection near me where there is a "no turn on red" sign. not that you'd be able to see it because that intersection has about a dozen frickin' signs all on top of each other. for years i had turned "right on red" there, and had seen people turn right on red there everyday. so after i turned "right on red" one night and saw the lovely police lights behind me i was genuinely surprised i was being pulled over. cop explained that was a no turn on red zone and i was given a ticket. total BS. and regarding gay cartoons for kids. WHY??? why does children's entertainment need sex, gay stuff, etc? it's disturbing honestly. what happened to imagination and wholesome entertainment? and im not sorry if i had kids NO WAY would i let them watch cartoons about boys kissing boys, girls kissing girls, kids who want to "transition", or whatever weird BlackRock tier "forcing change" propaganda that these media companies seem desperate to normalize. it's just wrong.
Imdb has "Am I A Racist" at last check at 7.5 Rating, but there is not a single Commenter who rated it below 8. I suppose one would have to actually Watch the movie to write a comment for a movie they seem fine rating poorly.
The definition of "hit" must have changed by quite a bit. 2.8 million over a 3 day weekend with no real competition to get in the top 5. Guess you guys have changed, and everyone does get a trophy.
it was such a journey and making this project was such a journey is like saying child care is child care and tariffs are paid by foreign countries? tariffs are not paid by foreign countries, tariffs are sales tax paid by the importer or passed in part or in whole to the consumer, you... lol
Someone pls tell Chris Gore to shave his facial hair. He aint dashing anymore. Just because im not donating in this channel doesn’t mean you guys gonna ignore this.
Chris was on actual television with millions of daily viewers. How does one crossover from mainstream to fringe? If Rotten Tomatoes were to have a higher threshold to record a critic score for new indy films, that's some legit evil empire stuff. By all means, let's expose it.
"Who is this made for? Female witches and gay teens. Not comic book fans." Since when are gay teens or even "witches" not comic book fans? Comic books are a medium. The original appeal of Marvel was that they could generate material in a variety of genres - sci fi, western, noir, horror. The criticism of from Film Threat seems to be narrower and narrower. By the way, as much of a fun as I've been of Chris Gore - Alan Ng is the voice of moderate reason here, not so quick to throw everything under the bus that doesn't fit a pre-ordained norm
Halfway listening to this "review", I felt like it's trying to fit a predetermined opnion. It lost credibility to me. So, I decided to watch the episodes first before going on and I think I'm not wrong. First, the spell was broken by Locke, which he said in ep2, while Rio did the final job. Agatha said if he's good at breaking Scarlet Witch's spell... that could be hint on who he is. The call to tell Teen could be gay might be to hint or fool us on he's Wiccan. So far I don't see it's trying to sell any agenda. The song in episode 2 is pretty good, nothing like the Power of Mannnnny, though it's hard to believe it should be a song of hundreds year old. So far I like it. The first episode is like a continuation of Wanda Vision. At first Agnes seems overacting as a cop but then I realised she's indeed role-playing. I think the spell breaking could be done more dramatic and without clothes off. The 2nd episode is getting hilarious and beginning the dark comedy feel, some classic show gathering a bunch of misfits to start an adventure. I'm looking forward to next episode.
That Variety correspondent had the time of his life saying GHEEEYIST in the gayest way possible a hundred times
He really made me want to know what the straightest MCU entry was.
I've seen him in other interviews he's very flamboyantly gay

Riley is canonically straight. She had an imaginary boyfriend generator in her mind for crying out loud. Remember? "I would die for Riley!"
Kids do not think sexually and if they do it is because an adult put that thought in their heads.
who gives a shit what GLAAD has to say about entertainment
A bunch of other flags.
God hates flags.
I care what GLAAD likes, because if they like it, I won’t watch it.

The interviewer is an undercover agent working for Matt Walsh's new project, "Am I Gay?"
That project is a short film, clocking in at just under 3 minutes.
Or, in Alan's words, "I am (so) gay" 😂
@@LRich-hg3hu Titles, slow zoom on MW face, he says NO, run end titles.

Just went on RT now and it is working now showing 80% critics 98% public
Great vid, but I really enjoy Allan's reviews of "Am I a Woman" and "What is a Racist"

It has to have rules, limitations, and costs.
I won't argue your point regarding Dr Strange 2. But I will say there's probably a significant number of people like myself who have just gotten bored with the MCU and still love Strange 2 because it was always going to be an exercise in Raimi just going HAM.
Chris the kind of guy to hire a dyslexic to do live reading.
Thousands of people encouragingly reading along with him/
The &64 thousand question is...
A meme is born!
Anytime GLAAD gives something a failing grade is the only time in which failing is a good thing.
To be fair to mainstream critics, I don't care what they have to say. Critical drinker, nerdrotic, verbal riot, mauler and film threat is where I go.
I can't wait for the release of Daredevil Born Again so we can listen to Charlie Cox and Vincent Donofrio answering questions like "how HETEROSEXUAL is this show?" and " is this the STRAIGHTEST Marvel show ever? "
This incessant need for affirmation seems like someone reaching the denial phase of the stages of grief.
A mindless wine aunt said Agatha should have her own show 😊 so they took it THIS FAR

Now I'm looking forward to this interviewer asking whatever the next film is the gayest thing ever lol
I'm with John Lydon when he sang, burn Hollywood burn, take down tinsel town, burn down to the ground.

Way better than The Acolyte. A few corny moments but over all enjoyable. Also Aubrey Plaza is f&$cking hot
