I have those Huda pallets. Hoping to wait for after Christmas sales to get the Natasha formula. Plan to declutter most of my cheap ( Colourpop, ect, although I did like Limoncello and That’s Taupe and a few others),once you get used to Natasha, Pat McGrath, Viseart, Sydney Grace, I am not putting up with patchy mattes and flaky chunky shimmers.
I personnaly think that the greyish-green in the mini was so innovative and original. It adds depth in such a unique way ! Thats why I was so disappointed when I saw the big retro, no greens, no Grey, no silvers, just mauves. She could have called it The Mauve palette and I would have understood but ...yeah

Yes, agreed! That palette has such amazing formulas! This palette is true to her original rich and juicy Chroma-Crystals. The Gold palette really resurrected her OG sparkly RICH chromas and rich rich metallics. And her mattes and cream to powders were lovely! A stupendous color story and stupendous OG Natasha formulas!! ✨
I woke up this morning, opened my Sephora app and saw this was available and immediately ordered. It’s such a beautiful color story, even if it isn’t the most original.
Three of the shades in this palette are from the large ND Lila palette-Hello, Nude Mauve and Amara. They should have given this palette a different name. Can't wait to see in person.

Love NDs formula and I’m so happy that she’s coming out with the smaller pallets. This one however leans more pink/burgundy and the original photos made it look more like the she’s in parties with more plummy purples. I think I’ll dupe this in my collection. Beautiful looks as always🥰🥰

In Denona’s video and swatches, this palette looks cooler toned but now it seems a bit more warm and red and not that dusty rose and mauve) maybe depends on the camera setting etc))

Great review Patty! I’m on your boat on the green in mini retro looking like a weird grey on me so I agree with you. But for the green fans, did you see Natasha said in her live that she’s not done with Retro yet and that greens are coming? I’m curious to see what will come next but for now I’ll continue going between not buying this one and wanting to buy this one until I cave (which most likely will happen in two weeks cause I’m not strong) :)
The Maybelline Nudes Of New York palette has some similar shades with more browns, but the cooler side of the palette does give me Retro palette vibes.
I haven’t been impressed with any of my Natasha Denona palettes, So I’m skipping out on this one but I did purchase the rephr brushes. Thanks Patty…… My save September starting off great! Lolol

LOVE both of the looks you did with this palette, Patti -- they are beautiful on you, very graceful and feminine while at the same time being quite practical and everyday. I really really love the color story of this Retro palette and if I didn't already have the Glam palette I would most certainly buy this one. I don't wear makeup all that much and feel like the Glam palette has me covered as far as a basic eye look that I can pull off easily, but oh, I am so drawn to this new palette. It seems to me to have a more romantic, feminine feel that the Glam and the color story seems more streamlined --- perhaps it is more monochromatic in that way but still, so very beautiful. Sigh!
Hey Patty - It looks pretty but I’m not too impressed, was hoping for something more impactful. A lot of those colors look muted. I loved ND Bronze palette, that packs a punch, especially for brown eyes! If you could only buy one palette which would you recommend? This ND Retro palette or CT Pillowtalk palette? I already have the CT Bejewelled Palette and it is FANTASTIC!

One thing I've kinda noticed is this palette is similar to Anastasia's newest purple palette IMO i May be way wrong but quite a few of the colors look similar to the ones in Anastasia's palette
@@jenniferd5477 I don't own it but I want it. I saw a comment on someone's channel comparing Norvina to ND Retro. I think I'd be happier with Norvina. All the videos I've watched on it, everyone absolutely loves it.
@@jenniferd5477 The Norvina is brighter and funner YET has the balance of those mauvey, purpley browns and wine colors that calm and balance the palette. The lid shades are stupendous and you get a variety of them. With Norvina’s you can still get very similar looks to what you can get from Natasha with the mauvey looks however you will also get MUCH more variety of looks from Norvina’s than what you can get from Natasha’s AND so much more. I really think you’d be more than happy with Norvina’s. And the formulas in this one are the richest and I feel is the best out of all of the Norvina Pro’s. I still got Natasha’s, lol, and I love Natasha but I still feel overall Norvina will get you farther with variety and options while not sacrificing formula.

I’m decluttering my cheaper palettes and keeping the good quality ones that inspire me and I enjoy using

Yup exactly. This feels reactive and not proactive. Like it’s an aftert thought, copying other palettes just to cash in 🤦🏽♀️

I’m curious to see what will come next but for now I’ll continue going between not buying this one and wanting to buy this one until I cave (which most likely will happen in two weeks cause I’m not strong) :)
The Maybelline Nudes Of New York palette has some similar shades with more browns, but the cooler side of the palette does give me Retro palette vibes.

LOVE both of the looks you did with this palette, Patti -- they are beautiful on you, very graceful and feminine while at the same time being quite practical and everyday. I really really love the color story of this Retro palette and if I didn't already have the Glam palette I would most certainly buy this one. I don't wear makeup all that much and feel like the Glam palette has me covered as far as a basic eye look that I can pull off easily, but oh, I am so drawn to this new palette. It seems to me to have a more romantic, feminine feel that the Glam and the color story seems more streamlined --- perhaps it is more monochromatic in that way but still, so very beautiful. Sigh!
Hey Patty - It looks pretty but I’m not too impressed, was hoping for something more impactful. A lot of those colors look muted. I loved ND Bronze palette, that packs a punch, especially for brown eyes!
If you could only buy one palette which would you recommend? This ND Retro palette or CT Pillowtalk palette? I already have the CT Bejewelled Palette and it is FANTASTIC!

One thing I've kinda noticed is this palette is similar to Anastasia's newest purple palette IMO i May be way wrong but quite a few of the colors look similar to the ones in Anastasia's palette

@@jenniferd5477 I don't own it but I want it. I saw a comment on someone's channel comparing Norvina to ND Retro. I think I'd be happier with Norvina. All the videos I've watched on it, everyone absolutely loves it.
@@jenniferd5477 The Norvina is brighter and funner YET has the balance of those mauvey, purpley browns and wine colors that calm and balance the palette. The lid shades are stupendous and you get a variety of them. With Norvina’s you can still get very similar looks to what you can get from Natasha with the mauvey looks however you will also get MUCH more variety of looks from Norvina’s than what you can get from Natasha’s AND so much more. I really think you’d be more than happy with Norvina’s. And the formulas in this one are the richest and I feel is the best out of all of the Norvina Pro’s. I still got Natasha’s, lol, and I love Natasha but I still feel overall Norvina will get you farther with variety and options while not sacrificing formula.
