I've doing this everyday for a couple of weeks and have really improved my speed. I use it for ear training as well, singing along. The exercises stay in my ears for a long time while I'm not at the piano. As always, great share and most grateful for your generosity!
"Just make sure you can kind of survive it" -- possibly the best description of some practice times ever, Jason! :) :) :) And yes, as an early intermediate (I think), I typically find it much easier to descend in drills (like Hanon exercises, for example) than to ascend. In a way, your exercise here feels very Hanon-like. I know there are some who despise those exercises, but for me, I have found them tremendously helpful, and I suspect your exercises will be no different. Maybe now I'll finally start to tackle minor scales...
Thank you soo much Mike!😇 Consistency is the key to tackle any scale and also stepping out of your comfort zone will help you to improve your piano skills (doing exercise in all 12 keys) Glad the lesson was useful!🙏🏼 Cheers!🤘🏽
Very helpful, thanks Jason. I love your engaging exercises and actually enjoy the practice. I've memorized so many now and really notice how my improvisation has improved and playing in general. I've been playing / practicing for 3 years now, having used many apps, courses and UA-cam videos and you are, without any doubt, the best on the WWW. I really appreciate how, in every lesson, you break down a concept, teach the theory and making fun and at the end, there's a tune or riff that you learn. You're a genius!
I am soo glad to know that my lessons are being very useful to you.😇 Thank you soo much for your love and support for the channel.🙏🏽 Your improvement gives me all the potential to make better and better tutorial videos!🤘🏼 Thanks a ton!😁 Cheers
