I purchased fish from him years ago when it was just a garage of tanks. I knew he would take off to a positive business as the fish were awesome. Sure to get more shortly.
Nice facility. Very cool filtration & water change system. Beautiful fish, nice work!
All I can say this guy has spent a lot of money acquiring good blood stock and good husbandry and knows what he's doing top quality among the best I've seen 👍👍
Patrick is awesome, have some beautiful fish from him.
Good to hear!
I would love a barn full of cichlids and anything else I could squeeze in. Some absolutely stunning fish, what a great place. Thanks for sharing Jason👍👍
A barn with anything else can squeeze in sounds good, I'll even get a few Zebras in there if possible 👍👍

Howdy all!! Such a cool place. Need to start convincing my wife we need a barn. For fish. 😬
Good luck!
Haha!
We don't have a barn, but we do have a sizable tractor shed. The Fish Shed? 🤔🙃😂
Haha I know what you mean I started with a 10gal last summer now I'm on tank number 4
@@2ssrs950 haha we have 4 also! They’re like Pringle’s!
My fiance and will only buy from the CB Patrick's fish are the best you'll find. And Patrick is amazing and will always inform you of the specific type and care for what ever you are purchasing...... The chiclid barn is honestly there best chiclid place to get your fishes . ❤️

Loved the video, brilliant. I live in cold winter climate and small property. Great that people like that can breed beautiful fish for us. ♥️👍👍

Loved the video. Super cool place
Wow that was really cool to watch. I want a fish barn.
Really fascinating video. Some people are so creative and talented to be able to follow through on their vision!
I agree - a very well designed breeding set-up!
Love a good tour 💛🐠💛🐠
Watching late started to airport to pickup my niece from visiting college in Grenada but had to turn around and come home, flights delayed. She went from landing here at 11:45 this morning till fingers crossed that time tonight. Looks like nice fish.

@@PrimeTimeAquatics yes sir it really is
This was NOT long enough. That’s a crazy set up
It sure was!
I know this is not related to your video but was wondering about this. Maybe you can answer this question for me. If the power goes out will the fx4 canister filter backfire and have the water that's in the canister back into the aquarium and overfill the aquarium or its design not to backfire and overfill the aquarium? And when the power turns back on it will just go through its normal priming cycle? Thank you
Whatblend are your shirts? Are they true to size? Thanks for all the educational videos
100% cotton and I think they run true to size.
Awesome! Man that really makes me want to buy a 150 gallon with those beauties in it. Do those guys need high pH hard water?
They do best with a pH close to 8 and water hardness of at least 10 degrees KH
The song is saying "Dough me how.... Wheat thing."
@primetimeaquatics, as great as the place is, I would be concerned that the fish there are exposed to fish borne and wild fish parasites considering that the fish go through an extended stay in a natural pond. maybe a science episode on mycobacteria, lack of water hygine in most stores and how stealthy some of these potential pathogens like internal parasites, is quarantine even effective? curios to hear your thoughts.
I resuced a 55 gallon tank from the dump. Its in great shape. I would like to put as many of these fish as possible in this tank. My daughter is dissabled and I really hope watching them will relax her. What amount of this type of fish could i put in this size tank?😀❤
really not very many in a 55. if you're more interested in having a lot of fish with tons of activity, check out african shelldwellers. they are tiny african cichlids with interesting personalities. you could get quite a few more in a 55 than typical africans.
Depends on which types of Africans. I had Mbuna in a 55 and always had problems, even with intentional overstocking to minimize territorial aggression.
That said, a combo of less aggressive ones like yellow labs, rusty cichlids and acei would work fine and give you a yellow, a reddish and a blue species, very striking tank.
Have a plan B ready if someone starts getting bullied too much. I lost several that way. I do more community fish now.
My only concern with the ponds would be them flooding and ending up in open waterways. I know things like that have happened in the past and it ended up really bad for local ecosystems.
There aren't any water ways around the area and the fish would die in that part of Florida if left outside during the cooler months.
There are more than 20 African cichlids that now live in the Florida waterways. The guy in the video said there are trout and flag fish , I think he said, both living in his ponds that he didn't introduce. Fish manage to find their way around even when we don't know how.
@@feralon9570 more the case in the southern half of the state. I remember visiting a friend in Gainesville once in January, thinking I'd finally get to experience FL winter weather. It was 30 when I arrived, a rare cold snap. When we went to the big pond at UF, there were bald eagles feasting on Nile Perch that got too cold and perished.
wonder how to keep fish colorful, any secrets?
We actually did a video on that!
Hey ,,, awesome video ,,, am from India 🇮🇳 , there is a place called Thoothukudi in southern India famous for cichlids but most of 'em have super bright colour , I heard they use harmones (androgens) to get these colours ,, is it true ? Do they do this even in US ???
There are some places that use hormones to increase color temporarily. It’s a sad practice that should be stopped.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics sometimes commercial interests outweigh all the other things that makes this hobby beautiful,,, buying fish from a trusted source is always better even if we are paying more . (I bought a dozen Red jacob peacock cichlids n even after a month I can't distinguish males n females, that's how horrible things have gotten here.)
Uhmm he didn't drip acclimate them before he put them in the pond!!
Nope - I wouldn’t either. Temps are about the same. The water from the pond came from the water draining from the barn.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Just kidding, with that many fish no one got time for that
