Which comics are you going by? During the Silver Age, Jimmy tended to be after Lucy Lane, not Lois. I wouldn't be surprised if they shifted his focus to Lois post-Crisis, though. I'm not a huge Superman fan, so I don't know much about his comics and spin-offs post-Crisis... (Either way, famousfreakinhobo is wrong, because this song came out in 1991, years before Chloe Sullivan was created. Also, she doesn't appear in the regular DCU at all.)

The Jimmy in the new series "My Adventures with Superman" seems to either have a thing for Lois, or for Clark, or just be aggressively aroace and not like the idea of Lois and Clark together just because it might get in the way of their friendship (the Timon and Pumbaa interpretation).
